Dude, the purported "Gulf War syndrome" has been more or less directly linked to diet coke being used in the desert. Once nutrasweet and other artificial sweeteners break down in intense and prolonged heat, they release carcinogens and other chemicals.

Seriously, chill on the DU claims. Metal that dense doesn't disintigrate, it fragments but not into dust.

1) You don't indiscriminately bomb the region creating MORE people that want to hurt you.
2) You work to infiltrate the organization and tear it down from within.
3) You work with governments of countries where these groups exist to get them to stop fostering their growth (whether it be through madrassas or some other form of hate teaching)

See, you don't seem to understand one simple fact.

Us being alive creats more people who want to hurt us. They want to kill us for being secular, christian, jewish, in sin against allah ect. You can't speak morals with theocracies because your morals and there morals will always differ. It doesn't matter if we bomb Lebannon and kill every person in there systematically. The people under the theocracies will still hate us because there religion tells them too.

But that's not a fact.

Very, very, very few of the Islamists want to hurt us (the US). bin Laden/Zawahiri are a very small minority. Most of them just want Islamic states in their own countries. Many do not want Israel to exist. That fact we CANNOT change by bombing and invading Muslim nations. That is what is fanning the flames of violence now due to our one-sided support of Israel.

If either way they are going to hate you, I would say at least make sure there are buffer zones on your country so they cannot attack you. Bombing them, or sitting back, they will want to kill you regardless. At least this way you can protect your own.

Maybe Israel should detroy a good 200km into each country on it's borders, than mine it. Those would be nice buffer zones as well.
 
Or, do as I have been saying in the last few days (in conversations elsewhere):

Setup Jerusalem as a global DMZ. No country can lay claim to it. Let it be a universal city controlled by a sort of United Nations comprising Jewish, Christian, and Muslim leaders.

How about dismantle Hezbollah and marginilize Hamas, known terrorist groups whose soldiers hide among women and children. Oh wait, wouldn't want to help the Jews.

The fact is that not even your DMZ zone would help. The terrorists want Israel wiped off the face of the earth. They will only stop fighting when either Israel is gone, or they are.
