If isonews still works for you, it must be because your ISP hasn't finished domain name transfer yet. Remember it can take 72 hours to update.

I was just going to post this too.

Maybe its just me but I dont understand the point of these sites. Do they do anything besides tell you whats been "completed"? Even if they tell you the cdkey in the nfo, whoopie do because if someone downloads warez chances are the cd key is included.

Edit
just saw that article link. About the mod chips.

That's exactly the point. They keep a list of "what's out there" so that the warezmonkeys know when to go leech.

The true collectors get the lists directly from the company.
Now, where's my master list of all US Sega Dreamcast games released? :D

Hahaha you have a good memory. Funny thing is I won my dreamcast on a scratch card. But I didnt have any games for it. So everyone else on my floor went looking for games so they could play it. I didnt do a damn thing except get lucky on a scratch card. :)

The site violated the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the government said. "

They also stored data on warez that was out there, like, what was ripped from a game and stuff.

iSONEWS.com hacked ... or busted ?
>> It seems like several news sites (United Press , CNET news.com (bottom), Yahoo! ...) started posting about iSONEWS's shutdown.

If you go directly to the IP , http://66.201.243.170 , you can see the iSONEWS server is still up and running.
The shutdown page is hosted on a server with IP 149.101.1.91 , which is indeed owned by DOJ (ip lookup)

Why could it be real ?
Someone people just sent us this url ... which indeed looks very real http://www.cybercrime.gov/rocciPlea.htm
Hack all those servers for just this joke isn't very realistic.

Why could it be fake ?
It could be a DNS hack on the iSONEWS side and a server hack on DOJ's server.
No announcement on http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/2003/February/
Server is still up-and-running
iSONEWS denies shutdown in their irc chatroom (#isonews EFnet).
(the isonews-logo on the DOJ page doesn't look very realistic either)

Meaning, I'm actually buying the game..

maybe cuz the site's intention was to allow users to play pirated games?

the site also says the mod chips were illegally imported
