I would have voted for him...not sure now though, the guy will be pushing 70 if he runs for office as a republican.
He's probably one of the few left though that doesn't pander to nutcases a'la Sarah Palin, and he sure as hell can hold is own when he supports his arguments.
It's almost like the McCain thing all over again, except Newt is probably, to me at least, someone who can fire up the fiscally conservative core.
