Sorry for the tardiness fella's, I've been studying and since its the last day of Ramadan had to visit families (and I lost plenty of cash.. but different story there
🙁 )
Well I'd like to thank all of you for being impartial while reading my post and being very open minded as MOST Americans are. (Canadians too
😛 )
Frances Beans Reverge you asked
So, what you're trying to say is we should probably cancel the ethnic clensing program?
I don't know what that refers too, the Jews like in WW2 or to Muslims around the world. I for one am not in anyway an endorser of ethnic cleansing... well maybe for Antarcticans... (that was a joke... awww) Don't put yourself down man, its okay to be silly sometimes. And please dont "be a sheep" my uncles a butcher
😛
Kherman regarding your question in
How hard is it for Muslim's to adjust to the Western way of life. Maybe some various groups. 1) Someone from a very muslim country with laws related to the muslim religion that just moved to America. 2) Same as 1, but what does that person think 5,10,20 years later? ) What about someone born in the US to a Muslim family. How does growing up in the western culture and being toguht to be a devought Muslim at home effect them? Those are some jump off topics I am curious of. I know it may stereotyping, and I will not be offended if you say so. I realize that we're all individuals with individual ideas, beliefs and morals.
I've usually seen that (young) Muslims from the Arab countries Adapt more quickly, while older Muslims usually take a significant amount of time.
1. Its really tough, when they usually come here they see there is so much "evil" and do not hear Prayer chants or see other muslims Praying 5 times a day, it get on their nerves.
2. It takes them usually the 5 years maximum to Understand WHY the United States is the way it is, we (US) are a fast paced society that usually does not wait for others to follow us. Muslims should really learn that its not their nation anymore once they've moved, you must adapt to your environment in order to survive. And Its up to us to teach them that its OKAY to do stuff they might see as bad, and not "kosher"
3. I came here when I was 7, so I remember a lot about growing up in Turkey and Greece. My cousins and nephews on the other hand were all brought up here. They are perfectly normal healthy children, but they do not Practice their religion as I had when I was their age. Their parents really only care about their welbieng and school work mostly. I try to tell them to teach them basic things, but it sometimes bothers me when they are shy and do not greet me when I come over to their homes as normal Muslim children should (instead they play their Gameboys or Nintendos) But my uncles and aunts are pretty loose on Islamic beliefs, my aunts do not even wear veils. But in more Strict Muslim homes, I KNOW those kids are Brought up SPEAKING and Writing in ARABIC first and then onto English. Depends on the family mostly.
SherePunjab your question is pretty valid
Muslims in communities may be scared to speak out to Anglo americans, but most of my Pakistani friends condone what he did and some even say the Jews are responsible
Oh sure blame the Jews, whats so wrong about a people who are smart, advanced (in ways) and mostly peaceful. I actually am envious of Jews, they stick together, work together and celebrate together. Unlike the other 2 major religions in the world that cant agree amongsts themselves.
As I said before, that is Their interpetation of the religion and believe that Somewhere in the Kuran that its okay to Hurt others. Ask them who said it was alright for the al quada to terrorize people. Maybe rationally, philosophically, politically its feasable, but they sure hell cannot point to Islam and say its justified. Thats their views and should be ashamed that they are celebrating others tragedy.
Sandorski , your reply to
Jellybaby's question is true. Allah is pretty much another word for GOD. Its Arabic for God. Arabs are hesitant to give the word up once they moved here, so it stuck. Just like in France, Germany, Russia, China etc, they don't call God , "GOD", but what GOD means in their lanuguage.
Fazzter I totally agree with you, * points at my sig * Megadeth had a song called "Holy Wars" and it pretty much states out what you said,
Yet how many people have died in wars over religious issues
Its a shame people fight over religion, but people fight over the last cup of ice cream on the table also, its all about full filling your desire, and they believe by way of FORCE they will ful fill their religious duty, (ie jump accross the table for ice cream)
Well its getting late.. 5 am really so... God bless.
