Tis truly a sad day - no more chocolate salty. . . .

R. I. P. Chef

What a tool. I always thought IH was cool, but this just shows that he couldn't give a crap about other people's beliefs. Satire is satire is satire, whether it's pointed at religion or whatever. Scientology is a fvcking joke. That said, I'll be sad to see Chef go... he was a great character.

haha, are you serious? Don't you know these shows have people LINED up who can fill in for the voices if the actors walk out for whatever reason? The Simpsons have about 5 "backup Homers", and you'd never know. Did you notice the change in Meg in Family Guy?

I did.

I didn't until I heard it was someone different, and I listened intently to hear it. Plus they went with "big names" both times, there are plenty of voice people out there that are more talented that aren't actors.

They can just find someone else to do the voice. There's always someone else out there
I'm sorry. Did you just say somebody can do Chef better than Isaac Hayes?
I'm a little more astigmatic than usual today, so I need to clarify what I may or may not have read.

Did you make some sort of statement implying Isaac Hayes would be outperformed as chef?
Well?
Did ya, punk? :|

yes, it's brutally obvious.

You need to check out the 500 threads already discussing the subject in P&N.

My idea: Just as easily as they can believe in religion.

They have already had a change in voice actors before, just not by Chef. The woman that did all the voices for the girls committed suicide fairly early on, but they found a replacement that sounds no different. Who knows, they may have Chef go and marry someone like the Succubis episode, or find a replacement like they have done in the past. It really is not a big deal.

Scientology is seriously a cult... I can't believe there are so many stupid people out there, ready to believe you need an "e-meter", it's completely asinine...

I did.

What? did they replace the 70's show chick now too? (or do you mean when she took over for whoever started off as Meg, back in season 1 or 2?)

I daresay they have enough dialogue sampled so that they could use him for years.

The chick that got tossed early on, not Mila Kunis (girl from 70's show). Of course, given how little they've used Meg this season, I don't suppose it really matters if she stays or not. If you're not even using a character, is there a point in even having a regular voice actor for them? 😕

Stone told The AP he and co-creator Trey Parker "never heard a peep out of Isaac in any way until we did Scientology. He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin."

ahahaha
ownage of the year!

😀

SERIOUS ownage!

I can just see the next episode...."You killed Chef! You Bastard!" 🙂

Maybe they can make fun of him in an episode....

"Isaac Hayes, come out of the closet please."

Well, not quite that... but something 🙂

When it comes down to it, it's no sillier than the premise on which Christianity is based. The difference is that Christianity has been so ingrained in our culture over the last 2000 years.
