I built mine the day that the core2duo launched, and haven't touched it since.
E6600, 2GB DDR2 Ram, GeForce 8800GTS, 250GB hdd. works fine for me.

Well I currently have a Core 2 Quad system with max memory (8GB) and I am upgrading to an i7 Quad system, 16GB of RAM and a better SSD. Nothing is ever too fast!

I will probably upgrade in another 2 years or so when 6-8 core processors are actually worth the money they ask for them. Currently I'll move from a 4-core CPU to a 4-core multi-threaded CPU. It should be a nice upgrade. I will have 2 SSD's - not sure what I will purpose the second one for just yet, as well as plenty of storage space.

I got a bluray burner for Christmas and noticed DVDFab maxes out my Phenom 2 955 when I'm ripping BRs. So I could probably upgrade that to rip disks faster (or maybe just OC it a little first). Other than that, I think I have plenty of storage and I never come close to using all my 4GB of RAM.
