Four years and I'm still surprising you? Either I'm less predictable than I think or you're slow on the uptake, but in either case I feel bad for you for having an overweight fiancee.
I'm not the only one you called narrowminded... I wasn't aware that thinking fat chicks are not model material makes me narrowminded, but I never stop learning, so thank you for the lesson.

It's not my fault that you have a warped view of body size... which makes you narrowminded... I truly don't mean it as an insult... it's simply the reality at hand. Thinking people are ugly or fat doesnt really offer you any advantages at all... so really I feel sorry for you, I get to see more beauty in the world than you do.
If you re-read your post I think you'll see that you didnt say "fat chicks aren't model material" you said plus sized models are just fine for ugly people.
1) Plus sized model /= fat
2) people who like plus sized models /= ugly
Usually you're pretty bright and mature in your writing... but in this thread you and other's show a blatant childish shallowness that frankly astonishes me.

Well that confirms it. After four years I'm still surprising you. I feel we can continue to take our relationship to new levels, as it's clearly not gotten old.
Let's not pretend for a second that a woman with a hard body who's got the looks to turn heads anywhere she goes is looking to plus size models as a way to dress. They are below her, so she looks to other examples of beauty. I'm not talking about runway models, who are considered ugly by the majority of people, but I'm talking victoria's secret models.
On the one hand yes I feel the sentiment of pity to my own view as you do. You see more beauty because your standards are lower. I hold people to a higher measure and that measure is met by a small minority of women. It's simply the way I am. I can't pretend that a woman who's 5,7" and 160 is attractive. Oh, sure she may be "pretty" and may be worthy of a lights-off (not on!) interaction, but when I see attractiveness I immediately judge as to what it took to get. If I know somebody put sweat and toil into something I respect them for it. It makes them more beautiful to me. If I know somebody's body is the result of laziness and poor eating I can't respect them and in turn can't find them attractive.
I would say my standards have increased for what I consider beautiful as my criticisms of myself have increased, and I'll explain: When one looks hideous naked and is foul to behold, it's unlikely that they will only find beauty in a high-end model. They know that they can never get her and over time they become more realistic. However, when you have more to offer, you realize that you can get more, and that in turn raises your standards. A simple analogy would be a poor person getting all stoked over their brand new chevrolet cobalt, whereas a millionaire would vomit to even look at it. Sure, he may have driven a junker back when he was poor, but now that he's rich he knows what he can get and the relativism of things changes.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we're all different. Inside, we're all special. Also inside some of us have a large-sized mcdonalds meal digesting.
Well I think then I have a clearer view as to where your judgemental nature comes from, and when expressed in the manner above it is no longer childish, but still sad. While certainly it is important to see someone who works hard to look good as beautiful and accomplished... it is also important to not hold judgement against everyone who doesn't meet that standard. Thats WHY it is an accomplishment, it is that person rising above the norm, and reaching a level above everyone else. Those that don't reach this upper echelon certainly aren't ugly... and if you see them as ugly and only the cream of the crop as not-ugly, then you live in a very sad, very small very ugly world. Not to mention you are incredibly insulting and demeaning to everyone else around you, which when looking at the whole person drops you way down from your lofty high-fitness heights of beauty.
However I suppose this is simply the way you are... and like the lazy, fat people who you despise, this ugliness in you also stands out to many other people. I don't mean this post as a flame, and I've re written it like 10 times in an attempt to not come off that way. But your arrogant zeal for perfect physical beauty has marred you, in a way that I suspect you're really not aware of. I for one am sitting here trying to retain the respect for you I had before this thread.
