ok.. shhh.. just between you and me... you need to re-hydrate yourself.. the best way i've come across (besides not drinking alcohol  ) is to drink a big gatorade either ~75% the way through your night or even on the way home.

the more, the better.

I would recommend against Tylenol because of its high apap content + liquor will be much harder on your liver.

Take something like Aleve (naproxin sodium) or Motrin(ibuprofen).

I've heard that a swift kick to the throat really helps you get over a hangover

The first time I ever drank, someone told me to drink water before going to bed. You know what, it works. Why? Because a hangover is a symptom of dehydration. It's so simple, yet people are too stupid to DRINK FREAKING WATER. YOU ARE DEHYDRATED BY ALCOHOL, THEREFORE YOU SHOULD DRINK WATER.

What do you do when you're running and sweating? You drink water.
What do you do when you are biking and sweating? You drink water.
What do you do when you're killing Iraqis in the 107F Baghdad heat? You drink water from your CamelBak!!
What do you do when you're losing water to transpiration? You drink water!!!

Why is getting drunk any different??

Unless you're a chronic moderate to heavy drinker, there's no evidence on what acetaminophen can do after a night of drinking. However, don't be a pussy, suffer through the headache. All analgesics can have unwanted side-effects when combined with an alcohol binge.

Tylenol is the leading cause of liver failure.

Due to people taking more than the recommended dosage. 90mg/kg is the maximum safe dosage while 150mg/kg is a toxic dosage. The risk of hepatotoxicity is extremely small when the dosage levels are adhered to.

Gatorade is ok if thats all you got.

Best hangover cure is "Pedialyte". Yes, the stuff for babies. It's the only beverage on the market that is specifically designed for rehydration after non-sports related dehydration (the kind that does more than just remove sodium and water, usually caused by severe diahrea)

It has eloctrolytes and vitamins that will go straight to getting your brain back to normal operating levels.

Trust me, I've tried everything, and nothing else comes close. This stuff will knock a horrible hangover out cold in 30 minutes flat.

Jeez, doesn't anyone take ASPIRIN anymore? About as safe as you can get, it works, and it doesn't kill your liver..and it's really cheap if you buy the store brand..

From what I know, I believe Advil when mixed with alcohol can damage your liver, and Tylenol when mixed with alcohol is more harmful to the lining of your stomach.

But I could have them mixed up. Either way, if I have a bad headache when going to sleep after drinking, I'll pop one and down two or three glasses of water. Generally, though, I'll drink the water first, then sleep, and then take the advil when I wake up a few hours later (along with another two or three glasses of water).

The water is really what kills any remnants of a hangover, but the advil allows you to get some rest while all that's going on.

i always drink a big glass of iced tea after drinking, before I go to bed. I always heard it also has antioxidants that help. Don't know if its been than water, all I know is I've only had a hangover once, and never after drinking the tea.
