Spiller: TB, JAX, MIA - i would say very good if he stays healthy...

I'm up 2pts with Lynch and Giants D left.. the other team has Andre Brown and Pierre Thomas.. I think I'm toast!! :(

I needed 7 points from Brees last night to win. 7 points was exactly what I got. No more, no less. NO got their corn flakes pissed in last night. Praying for no stat corrections against me.

hah...i needed two points from Pierre Thomas. That's exactly what I got from him also. won by 1 point. Ended the season at top of league with a 9-4 score and 7 game winning streak. I have a feeling my luck is going to run out in the playoffs.

I know what ya mean. This puts me at 11-2, with an 11 game winning streak. My luck shoulda run out a few weeks ago, man. I keep praying to the Fantasy Gods though!

Welp, Ledarius Green did pretty well this week but Marquise Goodwin and Burleson goose egged.

My other league, I had Josh Gordon and Alshon Jeffery and ended up knocking off the #1 guy. Waiver wire gold.

Next year I'm going to draft two great passing QBs (Manning, Brees, Stafford, maybe Romo/Cam/Foles) within my first 3 picks. Lost at least 5 wins this year due to not getting production (10 points or less) out of that position which will tank your week moreso than any other position. High upside elite QBs can alter a week like no other position. RBs are becoming expendable and timeshared more so I don't see their value over a good QB even in a scarce year unless you can get a top 3 back like McCoy/Charles/AP. Outside of a top 3 draft slot, just go with a QB. WR's would be last since there are so many options.

I didn't even think that my other team had a shot, but somehow I squeezed into 3rd place and snatched up a playoff berth.

Here's to hoping Alshon and Gordon can both reproduce last week's performance again.

dilemma. I have first week playoff BYE next week and I am 11/12 in the waiver wires. I was thinking of picking up Montee Ball (drop Bilal Powell, other RBs are Gore, Ridley, and P. Thomas). Question is, should I use up my waiver pick this week or pass this week so I can get a better waiver spot for next week? Was also thinking of dropping Amendola and picking up Edelman

Made the playoffs in every league, lucky me. In one league the playoffs are week 15-17, I get a win this week and I get a first round bye.

Peyton Manning is going to get picked very early next season. I would not be surprised if he goes #1 overall. If Russell Wilson continues to play like he did last night he will be in the talks of the elite QBs next season, getting Harvin back at 100% next season will be huge.

I plan on taking Gronkowski or Graham if I have a bottom 1st round pick next season.

Nice, although week 15-17 blows. Hope you don't have Peyton, Moreno, R.Wilson, Lynch, or even Brees/Cam Newton. Never understood the point of putting week 17 in the playoffs.

i keep on going back and forth setting up my waiver picks and then cancelling it. hah! But I think Edelman and Ball will be gone if I dont pick them up. But then again, I could pick them up this week and they could get hurt. Maybe I should wake up at 5am and see who's still left...

I should be fine in that regard but the big concern over those weeks are the matchups with my running backs. Stacy, Gore and Andre Brown all have quite a few bad matchups in that span but there is nothing on the waiver wire worth a damn so I am gonna have to roll with them. I might actually pick up Joique Bell or Willis McGahee (yuck) just to add some depth.

While Wilson (and even Kaepernick) are studs in real life, for fantasy their teams run the ball way too much to have the upside of a Brees/Manning (and at times Stafford) auto-win week where the QB will score 2/3's of the team's points.

There have been weeks this year where those QBs can even neutralize a RB scoring 3 TDs, and the frequency of an elite QB blowing up vs an elite RB blowing up is higher.

Gronk/Graham is a good strategy if you can get that elite QB early. I'd still like to have 2 elite QBs as insurance or trade bait though. Trying to get through some weeks this year without a QB was make or break. For example, I would play all of the matchups perfectly but still get beat by Manning or Brees blowing the fuck up while Jake Locker or some other WW schmuck got 9 points. Unless QB scoring gets nerfed, they are still the ultimate weapon.

Montee ball is a solid upgrade over Powell and Ridley (who may never play again) for sure, and you need that flexibility and insurance. What are your other RB options available on WW? Also, who are your other WRs? Edelman is a solid option as well, but it looks like you need a solid RB behind Gore and P.Thomas. If your WRs are solid, then you may just want to put in for Ball and sit tight if you don't get him.

Luckily you have the bye for Gore vs Seattle, then he has TB (25th graded run D) and Atlanta (22nd). P.Thomas misses Carolina, then St.L (23rd) but then Carolina again. If you make it to the championship, Pierre Thomas will be going against Carolina on the road. While Carolina is vulnerable on the ground (dropped to 17th graded against the run), they are still top 5 in pass coverage and top half of the league in pass rush. However, Montee Ball is going against Houston (9th) which isn't the best matchup although he may get significant work if Denver is looking to rest Moreno that week (highly likely).

Yeah I see your point and it does depend on the type of league.

For instance in a ppr league with 4 point passing touchdowns I decided to wait till round 10 to get a QB (Eli Manning). While I did get Rivers off the WW early which helped, not having an elite QB has not been as big an issue this season.

In another league that is very biased towards QBs I picked up Rodgers in the first round (Thank god for Nick Foles). Every year in that league the teams with elite QBs are the ones to make it to the finals, never fails. I'm just worried that the teams are going to start catching on and teams with late 1st round picks will get screwed.

Yeah 4pt TDs is a decent nerf to scoring in that PPR league. Personally, I'm for it because elite QBs are OP right now.

Having Rodgers and Foles, wow. No wonder you have zero QB issues! Lucky.

thanks for the analysis! judging by what you said, I think I should try for Ball, although I doubt I will get him. My other WRs are Cooper, Burleson, Amendola, Nicks, and T. Williams

Stacy and Gore have tough matchups this week but then relatively better sledding. Andre Brown's schedule is the inverse of that, easy this week then the next two tougher. I'd play Gore over Stacy this week since SF will be at home in a revenge matchup. Plus they have run blocked much better as a unit than St.L on the year, and Arizona grades slightly higher than Seattle against the run.

Your WR situation is actually worse than your RB situation but Cooper is solid (great matchups too). Regarding Edelman, he played more snaps (60 to 48) than Amendola. As long as your RBs are healthy, then you really only have to worry abou P.Thomas @ Carolina assuming you make the championship game. A lot can happen before then and I would start Edelman over Burleson. However, Edelman does play against Miami in week 15 on the road who has a decent secondary with Brent Grimes. I'd still take him over Burleson or go for a homerun boom or bust like Corradelle Patterson/Tavon Austin if they're available (probably not).

Montee Ball could offer additional value if your league has a Flex so I'd go for him and then Edelman. If you already have a decent FLEX, then you may want to think about a WR first since it's win or go home.

Patterson is available. Austin is not. So you think I should drop Burleson and pick up Patterson?

This is my current roster
QB Nick Foles, Phi QB
RB Frank Gore, SF RB
RB Pierre Thomas, NO RB
WR Riley Cooper, Phi WR
WR Nate Burleson, Det WR
TE Greg Olsen, Car TE
FLEX Coby Fleener, Ind TE
D/ST Cardinals D/ST D/ST
K Stephen Gostkowski, NE K
BENCH
SLOT PLAYER, TEAM POS
Bench Aaron Rodgers*, GB QB O
Bench Stevan Ridley*, NE RB
Bench Danny Amendola, NE WR
Bench Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR
Bench Terrance Williams, Dal WR
Bench Bilal Powell, NYJ RB

Moves Im considering for this week. Ball for Powell, and Edelman for Amendola. Who else is worth dropping?
