Looking to possibly trade with a desperate team...

I want Calvin Johnson...

I was thinking about offering him Gronk or Cameron and another WR (WR2/3) to make it even points wise...

Which would you offer from a TE perspective? Gronk or Cameron?

That's a tough call. I'm partial to Gronk since I own him. So I fully expect him to Gronk all over the rest of the season with impunity. Realistically though, who knows how he'll do. Cameron is the solid performer to date, obviously, but doesn't have as good a QB behind him.

My $.02? Hold onto Gronk and offer Cameron. Since Cameron is producing right now, maybe you can lean towards offering a WR3 instead of WR3. Whereas with Gronk, you'd probably need to offer a solid WR2. Assuming Megatrons current owner has any sense.

If he has no sense, then lowball him!

Actually, Crono, I'm wondering if you could get something out of the KC defense. They've been excellent, of course, and not only against mediocre teams.

They have a favorable schedule coming up, with the Raiders, Texans, Browns, and Bills, but after that they have the bye week, Broncos, Chargers, and Broncos again.

You could probably use the Chiefs defense as a sweetener, or even get a decent player straight up for them. They've been scoring points, lots of them, and reliably.

It's a 2xQB league so many owners keep at least 3 rostered and thus they're premium priced in trade value. His expectations of "fair" trade need to be adjusted accordingly. If he is hoping for a trade that is actually favorable to him instead of fair, then he can stick with his waiver pickups like Chad Henne. You gotta give value to get value, especially when you're the one in need.

Yeah he would need to pony up a Dez Bryant deal to get a top QB

If AJ Green can't have a good game this week against the Bills I am just gonna sell low on him, his production as of late is losing me games.

So far my Alex Smith choice hasn't killed me as much as it could have. He's #12 overall out of all the QBs, which isn't great obviously, but he's consistent, and for the QB/WR/RB/TE flex I can easily make do with Jordan Cameron. What's really killed me is David Wilson underperforming and losing Ahmad Bradshaw. Solid RB2s are hard to come by, though I feel good about Bolden in PPR so long as Vereen is out.

I'm making some offers now, but I'm also not going to be ripped off. Plenty of players getting hurt now (Julio Jones, Owen Daniels on IR) and that increases the value of some of my players like Dez Bryant and Gronk or Cameron, so I'd rather wait than sacrifice my one good WR or RB for something mediocre. I've made a ton of offers already, but no one is budging except for some really, really terrible offers where I'd lose someone good to get a crappy QB like Freeman.

No thanks, I'd rather gamble with waiver wire QBs. Quarterbacks are still deep enough that I can get by with Henne or Foles week by week depending on matchup. Guys like Cassel have put up more points in some games than QBs like Kaepernick or RGIII - it's all about the garbage time.

EDIT: Dropped Simpson for Keenan Allen.

I benched Nicks on Thursday night for Blackmon in my PPR league. I just know Nicks will go off now and Blackmon will probably get suspended before kickoff on Sunday. :D

Silly question for Def.

Very slim pickings in my one league.

I went with BUF (CIN) but am regretting the choice for this week.

STL (@HOU)
PIT (@NYJ)
TB (PHI)
MIN (CAR)
IND (@SD)
CAR (@MIN)
WAS (@DAL)
DAL (WAS)
DET (@CLE)
OAK (@KC)

Are all available.

I was thinking about dropping BUF for DAL or IND. Thoughts?

Buffalo might not be a bad play. Andy Dalton stinks and its on the road.

I just dealt AJ Green & CJ0.5K in a trade for Sproles & Gordon, its hard to give up a stud WR but you gotta do what you gotta do. It helps both of our teams out

Trying to grab gronk.

How's this in a ppr. Gronk for Fitz. Guy has Denver's TE already. Not sure if I'm giving too much or just right.

Yep. Both pass defenses are good but I can't see Brady at home after a loss and losing the record having a bad game.

Lost Owen Daniels so executed this trade:

R.Rice+Fleener for Witten+D.Wilson
I sold high on R.Rice which everyone should be doing, they are ranked 2nd to last (Jax) in Run Blocking on PFF's Statistics. They are abysmal. I made him throw in Wilson because I needed a RB for Week 8, and Wilson faces Philly so he should be back to tear them a new asshole since Philly couldn't stop a slug on the ground. My other RBs are SJax, Richardson, Moreno so I think it was a great sell high for a high quality TE1.

Yeah, I dunno, man. I might have to agree with Slayer on this. I wouldn't say terrible, but I don't think it was in your favor. I don't play PPR though, so I'm not familiar with it's rules/setup. Maybe due to that I'm missing something that you see.

Out of curiosity, why are you down on Rice?

Edit: Also, isn't David Wilson out for awhile?

That's what they're saying. He's rumored to be out "several weeks" with a neck injury. Their bye is week 9. It's possible he doesn't return until after that, at which point Andre Brown will be back and destroy what little value Wilson had to begin with.

I think Wilson is droppable at this point. Depends on who you can get. I'd drop him to stash Harvin or to pick up Keenan Allen, Terrance Williams, or Andre Ellington.

I'm having a tough time picking two to start in a PPR league between:
Blackmon @ Broncos, Nicks @ Bears, and Colston @ Pats. I guess this is what happens when you wait on WR...

Any thoughts?

I like the trade, you cant trust Ray Rice and at this point its hard to come by a good tight end. Jason Witten has some nice matchups for the rest of the season, if anything you don't have to play Tight End musical chairs for the rest of the season. Wilson is big maybe for week 8, I think there are better waiver wire pickups than trusting in David Wilson
