arrgh I was owning this guy last night, had an 86% chance to win, then Brady hit Tompkins and he jumped like 15 points.

Now I'm down 15 with Brees going tonight, but he has Hartline. Need a big game by Brees

Saints pass D has been very good, you have a great shot at winning this week.

^ funny how i post this and both score a TD shortly after.

Pettigrew somehow wants to play now, after i droped him.

Don't pick him back up (Pettigrew that is). The moment you do, he'll go out and drop a bunch of passes before getting benched. In fact after Broyles dropped a goose egg (thank god I didn't start him) I have to say that I don't trust any Lions receivers or TEs beyond Megatron. They have a TE by committee between Pettigrew, Fauria, and some other guy, and with Burleson out, all the non-Megatron passes are being evenly spread among many different WRs.

It's really too bad, too. I had picked up Burleson in a PPR and he was looking pretty good as a bye week fill-in, then he broke his arm trying to catch a fucking pizza.

I need colston to pick up 9 points tonight in a PPR. Geaux Saints!

Probably will, all he needs is his typical 5-60-0 line and you're good.

For me it's a little weird, I need Graham + Wallace to score less than 24 points more than Sproles + Sturgis (MIA kicker) in a non-PPR. I figure Sproles will get 7 or 8 points and Sturgis will get 5 or 6 at minimum, so I'll probably win as long as they don't both go nuts. Hope that Saints pass defense plays as well as they have been so far...

I play week to week defense. Picked up KC for 3 bucks on waivers.

The autodraft at that spot hurt me because I would be stocking up on WR.

Defense and kicker last. Always.

After this year I don't think I'm drafting a defense or a kicker anymore. Just straight up streaming. MAYBE if there's one I really like available in the last round, but usually the safest bets (Gostkowski, Prater, Bryant) are taken earlier than I would ever select a kicker.

I make enough moves in the preseason that I'd rather have two extra spots for lottery ticket players, and I'll just pick two guys to drop before week 1 to make room for my starting defense and kicker.

The pool is thin for me at TE. I ended getting Dallas Clark this week. I'm hoping for a drop of someone decent. celek, efifert and kellen Winslow was who I had to pick between.

I like celek and Winslow a lot more now. Just not enough to spend a wavier wave on. I should of grabbed health miller 2 weeks ago.

Too bad you didn't jump on the Coby Fleener train. You could look at Charles Clay (who might still be available as a free agent since he plays tonight).

Eifert (and fellow Bengals TE Gresham) basically dilute each others' fantasy value, usually combining for low end TE1 numbers each week. Unfortunately you never know which one will have the better week, and usually it's neither one. Winslow is pretty mediocre but with both Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill injured, he might be forced into more production anyway.

Other names to think about are Jordan Reed (who missed this week with injury and has a bye next week, but should be the primary TE for the Redskins once he returns) and Mychal Rivera. Rivera is a super sketchy option at this point but you should at least watch him.

There are enough decent TEs right now that you should be able to get one. Maybe you can trade for one. Though in some leagues, it can be very difficult to trade. In a couple of my leagues, people basically never trade and anything I propose is immediately rejected with either no counter-offer or an insultingly lopsided one.

I don't know if you are able to not draft a kicker or defense, I think you must have a full starting roster unless your league rules are different.

And unless you want to grab a top TE early you can generally wait until the later rounds to grab one. Looking at the top 12 tight ends in my ppr league only 4 were drafted before round 10 according to Yahoo.

I'm down 10. I have Lamar miller and saints kicker. He has mike Wallace.

I have a chance but I'd say I'm a 6-1 underdog if not more.

ouch, that's pretty bad

And the only reason I'm not 0-4 this week is because Sproles exploded last night. He almost score more points last night than his previous three.

Not complaining. But damn. I'm getting hosed in this thing.

So I am eyeballing a couple of WR on the waiver wire. One league in particular I would like to pick up either Justin Blackmon or Nate Washington and drop Ryan Broyles. My team in this league is not very good, I am lucky to be 2-2 and will need to swing for the fences until Roddy White gets back to normal. Who's upside do you think is better, Blackmon or Washington?

Also do you think its worth holding on to Joique Bell while Reggie Bush is playing out of his mind? Decent RBs are starting to get few and far between and Joique has at least proven he can step up if Bush gets injured.

I'd hold joique, bush may or may not hold up

on the other question, Nate Washington. Still not a great option (we'll see what happens without locker) but britt is a bum and I wouldn't touch a Jax player right now. I suppose Blackmon has the bigger upside but I don't think the odds are good enough. Idk, tough call, maybe I changed my mind...

Yeah, I own Blackmon in all 3 of my leagues. I bought in at the very end of my drafts on him as a upside guy when byes start up. He had some huge games at the end of last year. But right now with the pitiful excuse for a team that is Jacksonville, I don't see him doing anything.

Now Jax is still an NFL team and *somebody* has to catch footballs there. But I look at him at this point as a WR3/bye week filler at best and just hope for a few good games.

Oh and if I owned Bell, I don't think I could drop him. Too much upside there. Even with a healthy Reggie he has value. That's a good offense to be on.

Not sure about your WR question, but I'd hold onto Bell, unless there's just some really juicy RB on the wire. I have Bush, and as much as it pains me to say this, I doubt he'll stay healthy all year. I certainly hope he does, but that's a tough position to play.

The only running backs worth a grain of salt that available on the ww in my leagues are Rashad Jennings, Jason Snelling and Brandon Bolden, none of which I consider any sort of upgrade to Bell. Danny Woodhead is available in one league but I doubt I will be able to grab him as I have the last waiver claim.

LeGarrette Blount would be an interesting stash if you have the room, he looked pretty good Sunday and had impressive speed for a 250lb back. It would be nothing more than a gamble though since the Pats backfield is crowded.

I've never been in a league with roster requirements. A common strategy for waiver pickups is to drop your kicker to get a guy, and then take a day or two to decide who to drop before picking up another kicker on game day.

Thing is, in Yahoo, there's always at least one or two people on autodraft. And Yahoo's autodraft will always take defenses and kickers before picking up a single bench player. By the end of round 9, the top four or five defenses and kickers are gone, and I've been busy backfilling my roster.

Absolutely keep Joique. You could try to trade him to the Reggie Bush owner for a better player - maybe package Bell with a WR to get a single better player. Don't drop him, he's too valuable.
