You would think Cinci defense would be a good play but I heard on fantasy show an hour ago their secondary is decimated with injuries. It seemed to be pretty fresh news. But what do I know.
The gronkowski/amendola drama keeps going, now the "experts" are reported they will play. Folks will have to wait and see and with the night game it could be tough. In my league I can play Edelmen anywhere I can play Gronk (3 W/T slots, 1 W/R/T slot) so that was my cushion on game time decision. Edelmen or Gronkowski and I could wait till right before game time.
But now that looks to backfire with the possibility of no gronk and Amendola playing which moves Edelmen way down.
Cincy's front seven has crazy push so Hoyer will have to pass quickly, and the secondary injuries will definitely help him complete passes to Cameron and Gordon. This should lower Cincy's boom a little.
I think the gronk/amendola is pure BS and a mental ruse to fuck with the Falcons (prepare for them or not?? Better study extra to make sure before Sunday!). PFF reported earlier that they weren't playing and I believe that. Otherwise, I really need to get rid of Dobson stat. Edelman will still get his looks though because even when Amendola was healthy he was splitting time.
Another thing fucking with me is the Ray Rice saga. I'm pretty sure he'll start, but who the hell knows now.
Defenses, Minnesota is a huge roll of the die. The secondary did show up to play last week but the pass rush could be better. However, per PFF, the Steelers rotated THREE offensive lineman around which mean their line blows goats and most mid level defenses should be on Big Ben/Leveon Bell quickly. However, my next option, the NYJ, have a bunch of MEN playing up front (3 guys are in the top 5 or 10 on PFF) and tied for 3rd in sacks/3rd overall so they're the safer play even though most analytics like PFF/Rotoworld aren't high on them (which is puzzling to me considering they held Brady to 19-29 completion AT FOXBORO and Doug Martin to 65 yards!). Stop C.Johnson from rushing (like they did with Doug Martin, Spiller&handcuff, and the Pats) and pressure Locker into throwing to Cromartie's side. I really like this matchup better than Minnesota since NYJ sack a good amount and Tennessee has a really shitty offense. I was also looking at TN but the Jets have a huge mismatch at the slot position with Holmes/Kerley, and Geno isn't scared to throw deep against a so so secondary. I have New England but no way in hell am I starting them against Matt Ryan so I'm going to pick up the NYJ and hope they continue to dominate. Ballsy I know, but all of the elite defenses are gone (Cincy, KC, Indy) so I have to roll the dice. This is a must win week for me and no detail can be left without analysis.
