STL is St Louis. And Ike Taylor shut down AJ green yesterday. St Louis has Cortland Finnegan and Janoris Jenkins, but I doubt Dez will have a problem with them.

I see Eli having a problem with Carolina's D

What's your thoughts on holding STL defense? I had network hiccup and got auto drafted them in the 10th round. That really hurt me.

I normally only play week to week defense having only one at a time and picking up a defense off waiver for a few bucks each week. Same with kickers. This has served me well.

STL defense was highly ranked in top 5 draft day but now they're hurting me.

Hold em or fold em? I'm leaning fold em and playing week to week D.

Derp. Not sure why I always do that. Thanks. I still stand by my suggestion though

I'd be buying David Wilson right now if I didn't already have him on my teams. Anyone who has been watching the Giants the past couple years knows how they operate with their running backs, and by mid season or eralier there's a good chance Wilson is in the top 5 of all running backs.

Give me a solid WR3 and you can have that turd.

Never, ever, draft a giants RB. I fucking know better.

I got Seattle in 3 of my 4 leagues and chose Miles Austin in the other thinking Seattle would be there next round but wound up with Houston. So, now I am not a fan of Miles Austin. I expect their home games to be great and their road games to be average. Yes, I drafted them high.

It's a tough call, one that I am leaning towards fold. Jeff Fisher is a defensive minded coach. They have Robert Quinn and Chris Long, excellent pass rushers and they have two scrappy corners. Problem is they are manlets and are getting torched through the air. And they have a different defensive coordinator. I haven't watched their games, but something is up. Not generating enough qb pressure? Very puzzling how ineffective their defense has been.

Seriously?

IMHO you should go Megatron and Dez. Both playing weak D's (Steelers not QUITE as weak as Washington, but still bad)

I'm serious, still a noob with this, mainly going by the weekly projected numbers that nfl.com provides. The numbers are projected pretty similar between cruz, bryant and edelman, not sure which two to pick.

Thanks MisterJackson, I can pick 3 WRs ... Megatron will be one of them, need two more from the list. From your reply, Dez and Cruz or Edelman?

Agreed on the last sentence. Puzzling indeed. In my league folks hold their defense, but I'm better served playing match uPs

Cruz and Johnson are must start.

Your only decision is Dez or Edelman. Edelman is probably the more consistent of the two, probably won't burn you with a 1-2 point week but probably won't get you more than 10-15 points. Dez can get you 20+ points but is almost as likely to get you < 5. If the rest of your team is solid I'd go Dez

I have a small crisis... and trying to understand if Yahoo was at fault here.

I had one player left to go for MNF. Opponents entire team was finished playing. All I needed was 5 points to win. Monday at 1pm, I dropped a defensive player (Michael Johnson) and picked up Ryan Clark.

Ryan Clark was a Free Agent, and under the Transactions page it showed Johnson as dropped and Clark as added.

On my roster, Johnson still showed as playing that night. I refreshed the page, logged out, logged back in, same thing. If I went to the Week 3 matchup, it showed Clark on my roster and Johnson was gone.

What the heck could of happened? Yahoo glitch? Someone obscure rule or setting I'm not aware of? I've always been able to pick up players and have them show up immediately (unless of course they were on Waivers).

Edit: Johnson ended up playing (since I couldn't switch him) and ended up getting hurt and getting me only 2 points, so I lost. Clark, got 6+ points which would of won it for me.

If you have a league manager, contact them. They can change things around. If you are doing a random public league, I do not think anything can be done.

Edit:

If you player you are trying to drop had his team game started already then he can't be dropped until after waivers. If the team has not started to play yet then you can drop him up until that point.

Well, this is only my second year, so take my advice knowing that ;)

NoCreativity is right, Cruz is a must start along with Megatron right now. The only reason I picked Dez over Cruz as a WR2 is because Eli's sucking it right now, and Dez is pretty hot. Cruz is the more reliable/consistent of the two overall though.

Last year Dez had more bad weeks than good ones though.

One site I've found helpful when I'm debating between two players is:

http://www.numberfire.com/

There's a place on the side where you can type in two players and compare them. I don't use it as an end all be all, but it is helpful. You still need to factor in other variables, such as injuries, what D someone's playing, location, etc..

Eddie Royal got taken before me on the waivers but I still need to drop Shonn Greene. Who would you pick from this list Flex list? Brent Celek seems to have the most change in ownership this week. Flex can hold RB/WR/TE

Picked up james stark on waivers, someone offered me Marlon Brown for starks this morning. Thoughts? I was thinking no.

Trade Edelman

That would be a stupid move, especially considering Amendola is still out 2-6 more weeks and was pondering surgery yesterday (docs decided against it). Undrafted Rookie Thompkins has been looked horrible, Dobson is a drop machine as well. Gronk should be back soon, but that will only free up Edelman more in open space. If you thought his 18 targets against the Jets were ridiculous then there's more to come. As long as he can stay healthy, he will be Brady's top target for most of the Fantasy season because Amendola will take a long time to get back.

you're not gonna start edelman over megatron, dez, or cruz. and if he has megatron+dez those might have been his first and second picks, meaning he probably needs a RB. trade edelman before gronk and amendola are back

If you have RB depth already and don't plan to start him this week (and need a WR), do it. Lacy is expected to be back in Week 5 so you'll really only get full use from Starks for this week since week 4 is a bye. Of course, Lacy could be out longer than their estimate but that's a gamble you would have to take on using a roster spot for a non-starter. Meanwhile, Marlon Brown is a starting #2 WR behind Smith and will still most likely start over Jacoby Jones who will be back in 4-6 weeks but obviously would be limited.

That's true, if he has those WR's then he doesn't need edelman as much, but I wouldn't trade him since he's great insurance. I would ask him who he's playing in Flex first, if it's Cruz then you keep Edelman. If he has RB depth as well, then trade Edelman.

I'm not great at running back. I really just picked sparks up to trade while his value was still high. I have spiller, Matthews, Mendenhall, and Powell. My receivers are dez, Welker, Edelman, and ty hilton.

My teams are terrible again this year.

Some decisions to make:
1. Russell Wilson vs. Jax or Alex Smith @ Phi
2. Cecil Shorts @ Sea or Sidney Rice vs. Jax or Santana Moss vs. Det
3. Chris Johnson vs. SD or James Starks @ Cin
4. Andre Roberts @ NO or Josh Gordon @ Min or Eddie Royal @ Ten

What I'm thinking:
1. Wilson
2. None of the above?
3. Kind of a toss up. CJ has been so disappointing for so long.
4. Eddie Royal maybe?

Flex decision in my PPR league:

Antonio Brown v CHI
Bilal Powell v BUF
DeAngelo Williams v NYG
Brian Hartline v ATL

I also have Josh Gordon, but since it's his first week back and CLE is a mess I'm adopting a wait and see before I slot him in. Also would you play Luck @ SF or Dalton v GB?

Starks is a total dog, yea he's the starter but almost all of his production came in total garbage time against one of the worst defenses in the league. Anyone who expects similar production from Starks going forward is kidding themselves.

Agreed. He's been GB's starting RB in the past and not done much with those opportunities. Sunday's performance was just taking advantage of a completely defeated WSH defense.

do you know any other starting RBs or viable options available on waivers?
