Ended up trading Starks for Russell Wilson. The guy needed a running back bad. he had BJGE, Stephen jackson, and MJD and he had peyton, Schaub and Wilson on his roster so I figured he would take the trade.

Not bad at all, good job! Who is your other QB? Starks will fizzle out and/or be replaced by Lacy when he's back.

Any player added after the start of the Sunday games is only available for the next week. This is standard with Yahoo and maybe ESPN leagues. Your team is 'locked' for the week when the Sunday games start. You can still drop/add bench players, but as you found out they only show on your team starting the next week.

Really? Because both the players he added/dropped were playing in the Monday night game.

I guess I've never dropped one Monday night player for another and tried to swap him out.

Starks is garbage until he proves otherwise against someone worth a darn. He did crap last year and the year before when he was expected to do something. I know, because I had him. Washington has an awful defense. That is the ONLY reason he did well. I think it is like an NFL running back running against a peewee league team.

This. Starks didn't do much until the game was already out of hand and the Packers were just running the clock. He's a one-week filler if you're desperate for a starting RB. He's facing an above-average defense, followed by a bye week, after which Lacy will go back to playing and you're just going to drop Starks (unless you are the Lacy owner, I guess).

I like the ESPN rankings system as it takes the average of 4 people.

I'm a fan of FantasyPros, which compiles rankings not only from ESPN but from dozens of other sources. You can filter by accuracy as well. If you sign up for an account, you can also import your team and it'll highlight the players you have and the players that are available. It's really nice.

So I've got McCoy's owner sniffing at my hook for a possible trade. I've just gotta offer the right bait. What/how much would you offer in trade? He's needing WR help. Megatron, Julio and Brees are staying though.

I put an offer of his choice of MJD or Gore and Boldin or D Jax on the table. That's what got him sniffing.

Here's my current roster:

If he takes Gore and D Jax he might just get the best end of that trade. But I'd consider it pretty even.

Not really a fan of trading for russell wilson. IMO there are QBs of equivalent value who are on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rivers (well, he may be gone now), Dalton, etc. Wilson's a great QB but not necessarily a great fantasy QB. Just my opinion, of course.

With that being said, you got something for starks before he loses all value (which should be happening soon)

Kaepernick. I was number 2 in waivers and picked up Starks purely to trade to RB desperate teams. I dont really want Wilson either, but he will hold value and I might try to package him with someone to get a better running back. After Gronk comes back I can try and trade Finley too.

I just looked QB's available in my league are Henne, Hoyer, Locker, Tannehill, Geno, Freeman, Ponder, Manuel, Cutler. Slim pickings.

90% sure. I know for sure it locks your whole team in at some point Sunday. I had this happen to me before. It really makes Monday night games rough if you have a player who has a "game time decision" injury.

Yeah, I'm not saying Wilson is spectacular, but for Starks, it's a good trade. He def accomplished what he was aiming for, using Starks when he didn't need him, to trade up in value. Someone may be hurting for Wilson later.

Yeah, I'm waiting on the Gronkish one too. As soon as I can get him off my bench and into the line up, I'm trading away Bennett for something better at RB.

Yeah. For a 1st round 2014 pick. The browns are a joke. Here's hoping Richardson's performance goes up now that he's on a legit team...

terrible move for them. I own trent in my main league, and I expect the trade to help, though he might not play this week.

I'd say we don't know enough about Trent yet to say he's average. He ran for a team without a decent QB. A stacked box was guaranteed.

So who's next in line in the depth chart on the Browns? Or any rumors of who they will sign?

Bullshit he is. 950 yards rushing + 350 yards rec for a shitty team while he was injured is not average; finished #6 for rushing+rec TDs last year in 15 games.

The big question is, how good will McGahee be and if he's worth picking up.

Teams get to the goal line and hand it to the RB. Bad teams are going to score throughout the year. He had a 3.6 ypc average last year and 3.4 ypc this year. He didn't reach a thousand rushing yards in 15 games. He is average so far. He can get better. I hope he gets better.

He is not a big name player as of now. I can't recall any big named player traded for a future draftpick 17 games into their career.

you forgot as a rookie

not sure what adrenaline is talking about. it's only week two this year and he played the ravens last week

I'm not big on him yet. He has potential. He is not a big name, just a name that got traded.

He is nowhere close to Portis, when Portis was traded for Bailey.

The move will certainly help luck and TY hilton. He's a big back that can block and catch the dump off. That sets up huge 50 yard play action to TY.

Pretty shocking that the Browns made that trade but I think this is a good move for them. They need to have a complete overhaul of their offense.
