I expect him and Spiller to not live up to where they were drafted at. Spiller did decent this week. There was no way I was drafting Richardson as high as he was. If I saw either in round 2 of a draft around 15-20 then sure. Either in the top 10 was an automatic pass.

I picked up Spiller at 10 because I really didn't see any other RB out there. :(

admittedly, I am lazy at the draft and only look into things about 30 minutes before it all starts.

I've got a chance to grab DeAndre Hopkins from Waivers, but the only one I'd consider dropping is Boldin (not gonna drop Megatron, Julio or D Jax).

Assuming Andre Johnson is out do you think dropping Boldin for Hopkins is a good move?

I really like Boldin, but as Seattle showed, he can be shut down. Plus he's older.

Hopkins looks legit, and he's a hometown boy.

Drop Boldin for Hopkins? Yea or nay?

Hopkins is a WR3. He won't be the primary target on the field, it'll either be Daniels, Graham or Foster over him. As long as AJ is out, he's a decent play, but I'm not sure dropping a #1 WR like Boldin is worth it in the long run. You're not starting all 4 WRs, are you?

No, only 2 WR's plus a flex (WR/RB/ or TE).

You class Boldin a WR1 though? I really like Boldin, but I was thinking he was a WR3 (Flex) at best.

So I got offered sporles/golden tate for my garcon/j bell(lions). I think I get the short end here.

Tate does nothing for me, most likely a drop for me. I wouldn't mind James Jones for sproles. Tempting.

That sounds like an aweful proposal. Sproles/Bell are close in value but Tate is worthless.

Dear lord, keep Boldin. One game doesn't mean shit against the best secondary in football, and Hopkins only got passes because Johnson was out with a concussion. Johnson will be back this week.

Hopkins is a beast. I'm guessing you haven't watched him yet.

Golden Tate has as much value as any other WRs on the waiver wire and would just waste your roster spot. Unless you can get a better player in the trade I would say hell no.

Boldin is easily a WR #2 and a low WR #1 in a PPR scoring league. His performance this week is just a testament to the strength of SEA's defense.

Figures that my stacked team lost this week and my so-so team won. Last week my WRs and TE put up 20+ points each and this week they all struggled to break 10. Dem's da breaks.

No way, do not drop Boldin after one bad game against arguably the best defense in the league. Are there no other players you could drop on your bench for Hopkins?

OK Trent Richardson, I see you dropping a goose egg every week and losing the game for me. Oh, and same goes for you Mike Williams (TB).

Your telling me. In my 12 team ppr league I am on an 0-2 meltdown. Richardson & Gore have done nothing for me. Roddy White is hurt and I am now relying on Mike Williams or Brian Hartline as a starting W/TE. Only having 4 bench spots is terrible and makes hanging onto injured players really tough. I doubt I will be rejoining the league next year unless they increase the bench.

The icing on the cake is both weeks my opponent had the highest score in the league and I got smoked. If this continues I will be waving the white flag by week 4 :p

I meant #1 WR on his team, sorry. He's a WR2 in PPR, and with Davis hurt, he should see more targets.

All my rb's are duds. Trent, CJ0K, and DeMarco. Im gonna hang on to them because I think they have a better future ahead of them. I've still been kicking ass because of my Eagle combo of Michael Vick and Desean Jackson. I just hope Vick makes it through the season.

So Philip Rivers is a top 5 QB so far this season. Who knew. I'm tempted to pick him up and replace Tyrell Pryor. I absolutely MUST have somebody to back up RG3 because he still doesn't look good. The only saving grace with him is the garbage time yds and TDs.

I picked him up last week--first time he did not go drafted; how things have changed--because I am contemplating trading P Manning to improve RB and either WR/TE or possibly a big defensive spot (we use IDP)

0-2 with Manning on your team sure does suck. Of course, I have scored in the top 4 these last two weeks, where both opponents, in their other games (not playing me) managed to score in the bottom 3 or so. :|

I also suspect that Manning is heading for a serious injury. Sure, I was 100% believing this last year and I am not nearly convinced of that this year...but dude is old. He's one wrong hit to the shoulder/head area from eating out of a straw for the rest of his life.

QB is ultra deep this year, the top 12 are all interchangeable for the most part.

Giving up Manning to get a top 10 producing RB or stud WR/TE would improve your team for sure, and I'm sure folks would take you up on it (I would NEVER give up a top 10 RB however).

If you score in the top 4 and still lose, that's not your team...that's bad luck.

Don't do it! Boldin got shut down against the best defense in the NFL - these things happen to featured receivers sometimes. Calvin Johnson was essentially shut down by the Vikings.

What's your full roster? I think I remember you saying earlier that you were in an 8-team league, and I don't think Hopkins is worth rostering in such a shallow league.

I know he's good but he's still a #3 at best with Johnson back. He's still behind Johnson, Daniels/Graham who Schaub is always looking for. If Johnson is just a decoy then Hopkins will be better, but we won't know that until after the game. Also consider that Hopkins ran the wrong route that almost lost them the game on Sunday (pick 6).

So whats everyone's thoughts on the big Waiver Wire pickups for this week?

James Starks
Eddie Royal
DeAndre Hopkins
Marlon Brown

I'm thinking Starks might have value the rest of the year cuz he is better now then Lacey and should be starting any way. Also thinking Eddie Royal could be the man

Really depends on who you have to drop. Of that list I think Hopkins has the most potential.

Starks has never been that good. If you really need help at RB he's okay for a flex.

I think Royal could be good but I worry because most of his fantasy value has come from 5TDs. Can he really keep up that pace? If not he'll net a few points a week on yardage, a little more in PPR.

Think Brown is a decent short term fill in until Jones returns.

I'm tempted to pick him up as a backup to Eli Manning in one of my leagues but I am not willing to use a waiver claim on it. Right now I need to get some better RB depth as Eddie Lacy, David Wilson and Bryce Brown on my bench is not very thrilling. I might make a low ball offer for RG3 or Luck as the owner has 3 Qbs (Matt Ryan as well) and really needs some WR depth which I have plenty of.

Sounds about as good as my trio of MJD, Spiller & Lacy backed up by Andre Brown.

Those are by far the top 4 for this week. I am not jumping on the Royal bandwagon just yet as I think he will come back down to earth. Some other waiver wire pickups that might be on every ones radar:

Tyler Eifert
Danny Woodhead (PPR)
Jason Snelling (PPR)
Robert Woods

What do you guys consider reaching if I were to offer up Peyton Manning and DeAngelo Williams, or Even Manning and CJ Spiller.

I'm thinking either of those trades for Lynch/Bowe from one team, or..Peterson/D Thomas? I think that might be reaching....

I was thinking of offering for Alfred Morris/Randal Cobb, but I feel like the Skins are making a case for Morris being mediocre this year.

This is non-PPR, and all of these teams could use the QB upgrade.
