Statistically, I am #1 in the league. But that's because I have been getting lucky in spite of scoring average every week. I am playing a team that is on fire right now. He is #4, but has been blowing everyone out of the water and just set the all time high score record for the league. This is his team

Sometimes you can just catch opponents at the right time and make it into the playoffs based on matchups, aka luck. In a 12 teamer I am 10th in total points yet got into the playoffs at 4th place with an 8-6 record, I was actually 1 TD away from getting 2nd place and having a bye this week. I also attribute this to hitting the waiver wire hard. I dropped the guys that were not helping my team early, in particular Trent Richardson & Steve Smith, and scored on guys like Andre Brown, Zac Stacy, Alshon Jeffery and Nick Foles. It looks like hanging on to Roddy White may have been the right move if he continues his up swing.

I had a first round bye in the fantasy playoffs this year, and I felt awesome about my team. Then AP and Gronk go down with injuries. UGH!

I dropped Gronk and picked up Charles Clay. This is what I'm thinking about starting. Wanted to get your thoughts.

Starters
Andrew Luck IND - QB
Keenan Allen SD - WR
Harry Douglas Atl - WR
A.J. Green Cin - WR
Matt Forte Chi - RB
Shane Vereen NE - RB
Charles Clay Mia - TE
DeMarco Murray Dal - Flex

Bench
Martellus Bennett Chi - TE
Adrian Peterson Min - RB
T.Y. Hilton Ind - WR
Ryan Mathews SD - RB
Julian Edelman NE - WR

I also have to pick between Kansas City and Carolina defenses. Both matchups look pretty good. Right now I'm thinking Kansas City. Anything in my lineup you guys think I should change?

1/2 point PPR.

Per Evan Silva's (rotoworld, very good analyst) Thursday night breakdown, Gronk owners should be giving Jacob Tamme a long hard look as a streaming TE1. From roto's waiver wired:
2. Jacob Tamme, Broncos – Owned in 5 percent of Yahoo leagues
After sustaining a concussion in the Week 14 win over the Titans, Wes Welker now has two of them in the last month. He’s almost certainly out for Thursday’s game against the Chargers and he’ll be a question mark for Week 16 as well. So how does a wideout getting hurt affect tight end Jacob Tamme? Well, Tamme is the Broncos’ backup slot receiver. After Welker went down Sunday, Tamme played on 45-of-46 possible snaps. He ended up catching four passes for 47 yards on five targets in barely over two quarters of action, running the similar pick plays and quick hitters Welker normally does. There’s a comfort level with Peyton Manning from the Colts days and anyone playing every snap in this offense is going to have huge upside. Especially when they’re in the slot for a potential shootout (the over/under for Thursday’s game is a league-high 55.5 total points).
Recommendation: Should be owned in 10-team leagues

I like Tamme better than Clay, although Clay has a very favorable matchup against the pass-rush-less NE Patriots which should give Tannehill tons of time to find anyone who isn't covered by Talib (Hartline, Clay, Matthews).

Other considerations: If it's PPR, you may want to consider Edelman over Douglas since Brady doesn't have a ton of options to throw to. Douglas is probably better for standard though. Vereen vs Mathews, I like Vereen better due to his explosion last week but Miami has now surpassed Seattle as the #1 graded pass rush on the year and we know how Brady is under pressure. This could actually help Vereen's cause as a receiver but just don't expect points like last week.

Carolina is a great play at home vs NYJ (who suck on the road) and they'll be looking to rebound from their spanking with a vengeance. KC is on the road @ the Black Hole but I still think they'll dominate, even without Justin Houston (best LB injured). My gut says Carolina at home will be out for blood, especially since Hardy/Johnson/Loteleli all had negative pass rushing vs NO, but KC is the statistically safe bet.

I like Clay much better than Tamme. You can't expect much more than 4 catches for 50 yards out of Tamme and Julius Thomas will be Mannings main TE target in the red zone. On the other hand Clay has been hot as of recent and I don't see any reason why that would drop off this week.

I'd agree with this, but Tamme sure is tempting. He has a rapport with Manning, and will be used in a target rich environment. I'd lean Clay in the end though.

Lol. I ended getting both TE. I went after.

Now I need to pick.
Pitta, garett Graham or dealnie walker.

I like pitta over all but something is holding me back

Argh which 5 to play? 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 W/R

Lynch
Morris
Bush
A. Brown
Decker
Megatron
Brandon Marshall
Alshon Jeffery
Andre Johnson

I'm thinking Lynch, Morris, Megatron, Decker, Jeffery...

Really don't wanna bench Marshall but Decker is hot, Megatron's only bad game was in snow (although I'll be checking the weather report this week), and Jeffery/Marshall seems to be a coin flip lately.

No point in checking the weather. Megatron is back at home, inside thr dome.

Something to consider... culter might be starting qb.

Good lord you are stacked at WR.

If Cutler is back at QB you start Marshall. For RB's I'd go Lynch and Bush... Bush's injury would worry me with him playing monday night so I might lean towards Brown.

As others have said, start Marshall if Cutler's in, Jeffery if McCown's in. Bush has been ruled probable, and he has said he'll play. I'm in the same boat as you there though, and I'm not sure what I'll do with him. I'm leaning towards starting him. He did say yesterday that in all of his career he has never missed a game when he had a pulled muscle.

I'm guessing Haden will most likely be on Marshall, so it's safe to start Decker over him despite lower scoring on TH nights. Haden has been average in the past 2 games (slipped to #23) and while he won't be able to shut Marshall down, he should slow him. However, roto is reporting that Haden could be on Jeffery so who knows. Either way Decker should get the nod as maybe Haden's assignment will be more clear closer to Sunday that will dictate which Bear to start.

No way I'm starting Todman over SJax, that is crazy. Jax still has the worst run blocking OLine in football and the Bills have moved into the #3 graded spot from #5 last week in Run D. Yes, Rainey did hit them up for 120+ yards but 80 of that was on one early explosive run and then the Bills shut him down the rest of the day. You'd have to hope for the Bills to give up the big run or a goal-line TD with Todman (I'm not making that bet). On the flipside, SJax has shown signs of life and he goes up against 2nd to last Run defense in the league in demoralized Washington - at home to boot. I actually picked up SJax off WW to put in my lineup next to Shady McCoy.

For what it's worth, PFF just put out an article on riding Delanie Walker to the championship. Their logic is that AZ is giving up the most points to TEs and just lost one of their playmakers (Honey Badger). Fitzpatrick's aDOT (aimed depth per throw) is right around the same as Walker's aDOT (9~ yards). The Jags are the 2nd worst in points allowed to TEs. Makes sense.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna start with Decker tonight, especially since Welker is out. I'll decide on Jefferey/Marshall on Sunday as well as my 2nd RB.

Now that AFC Targets are out, I would agree that Clay has slightly higher upside than Tamme. He led the team with 10 last week, and was 2nd the week before that. With NE's lame pass rush, Tannehill will have a lot of time to throw to Clay/Hartline.

Tamme had 5 targets in 2 quarters in the prolific Denver offense, but there are a lot more weapons there than Miami.

Ride with Thomas tonight or hope Gonzalez would do better against the redskins non-defense?

A couple things. 1) If you can get Cutler, do it. There's a chance he will start over McCown. If he has to play Carson Palmer against the Titans, that is a HUGE advantage for you b/c TN has 2 lockdown corners and Michael Floyd has a gimpy ankle - AZ will most likely go to the run a lot.

Other than Josh Gordon vs the Bears and Vernon Davis vs TB and Vereen vs Miami (will probably have a decent day as Brady will be checking down alot due to Miami pass rush/pass coverage), your opponent doesn't have the best schedule matchups. Andre Johnson is a beast but will be shadowed by Vontae Davis - still uneven but Houston won't be able to go to Johnson as much. Chris Johnson will have a rough day against AZ. Rashard Jennings will have a tough time the Chiefs or Gerhart against an underrated Eagles run D w/ a gimp hammy. Also, he has the SAINTS against his defense (lol).

Your team: Foles should do well against MN, Cooper as well. Gore and Greg Olsen should do well, as well as AZ vs the dismal Raiders whose OLine grades 6th to last vs 7th best graded D.
Now let's get to your two boom or bust players: Pierre Thomas and Cordarrelle Patterson. I would feel safer with Hartline at WR instead of Patterson because New England has the 2nd to worst pass rush in the league, which means that Tannehill will have all day to throw and IF lockdown corner Talib is on Mike Wallace - Hartline could blow up. Additionally, I like to minimize variance by not having a ton of players in one game, you would have 3 players going in the Eagles vs MN. So who to FLEX if you put Hartline at WR? I would recommend Jacob Tamme if he's still available (I just picked him up in both leagues). According to roto, he will be replacing Wes Welker in the slot Thursday and you want any of Peyton's receivers against SD. If you can't get Tamme, then flexing Pitta would be your next best bet although not nearly as good a play (low variance due to Flacco inconsistency) because of Detroit's pass rush.

All in all, IF McCown doesn't start then Foles should give you enough of an advantage over Vereen, Flash Gordon, and Vernon Davis. If he does start, then it's going to be close.

Thanks for your insight. You've been right about Patterson last week, so I would heed to your calls, but neither Tamme nor Clay is available. Opponent picked up Gerhart. Hopefully you are right about him not doing too well this week. Right now it is projected for 109 to 111. Gonna be a close game!

Yea, but is their any word on him being cleared to play after his concussion a few weeks back.

Pitta might have some rust on him but will play. I like walker a lot but after what jordan reed did to me, I need him to clear testing like Saturday to feel good about putting him in.

That and Haden will most likely be covering Alshon since Marshall plays out of the slot a lot.

I feel like I still have to start Alshon though.

I was planning to sit Dez for him. Can't feel good about it now, though I'd rather play Alshon, just because Dez hasn't shown up the last month. Not like he's capable of imho. He's been more bark than bite.

Thanks for that link. I'll check it out.

I am so torn. Please help me ATOT. Here is my preliminary lineup tonight

QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
RB: Reggie Bush
TE: Jacob Tamme
Flex WR/RB: Giovani Bernard
Flex WR/RB: Montee Ball
K: Mason Crosby
DEF: New England
Bench: Wes Welker
Bench: Steve Smith
Bench: Golden Tate
Bench: Russell Wilson
Bench: Garrett Graham
Bench: Toby Gerhart

Should I start Tamme or Graham? Should I pull Montee Ball and put in Steve Smith? This is a non-ppr league. 1 pt = 20 yards rushing or receiving.

I've been *HORRIBLE* picking RB's this year.

Pick 2 RB's out of this crew:

Ryan Mathews
Gnomeshawn Moreno
Levon Bell
Bobby Rainey
Fred Jackson
(also have Weak Hammy McFadden on my bench)

Right now leaning Moreno and Mathews
