"The soils turn to clays as moving to the south part of the watershed"

I'm revising a text for a friend; the 'as moving to' part sounds strange to me. It's technical so we can change simply to 'as we move to ...'

Suggestions?

Thx

it makes no sense, i'd delete the line totally.

"As we move to the south end of the watershed, the soil turns to clay."

"The soil turns to clay as we move to the south part of the watershed."

Either way, it's still a stupid sentence.

Is the soil magically transforming into clay? Or 'clays', whatever 'clays' is. Probably not. So, no that sentence isn't even physically accurate, let alone gramatically accurate. Maybe it should say the "ground transitions from soil to clay".

* Warning! I can not spell 'grammar' or 'grammer', whichever it is. I simply can't spell. So don't flame me.

As we moved towards the rear of the watershed, the rough dirt path gave way to shiny soft clay. It's oozing textures brough a tickling delight as it squeezed through our toes.

And then, the world ended.

As our panther class support scout vehicle traveled towards the southern sector of the Watershed nuclear weapons facility, the Anu'udrian mothership began transforming the soil under the facility into clay using its giant molecular-reassembly array; Time was running out.

So you are saying that it is false that time is an illusion? Then you back it up saying that it is true that time is not an illusion?
