Ah, yes, the VC&G section. When there is a 5 FPS difference between crap and awesomeness!

(looking at the lower resolution graph on that page, closest to what the OP would see)

Because everybody overclocks their card to run a game 2 FPS faster!

OP, you will be happy with either card, I would just recommend you pick between the two based on your own research, not just what's in here.
at least thanks for showing your true ignorance when it comes to video card performance. if thats what you really think then you have no business giving advice here.

get a 7950 and a better monitor, prolly the same price and you could use the old monitor as a secondary

HD 7970 is in a different performance league compared to GTX 760. HD 7970(1 ghz) is roughly 20% faster than GTX 760. if you start overclocking the gap widens as GTX 760 cannot match the scaling of HD 7970.

in fact even a golden GTX 760 at 1.28 Ghz cannot match an average clocking HD 7950(1.15 ghz).

Yes, I think I can sell this monitor for about 90 to may friend who's just needs a normal home PC monitor. Then, I'll just wait and get a bit money and then buy a 1080p monitor. If I do that I would want a 7970 so it will have best performance :)
