It's not worth getting worked up over. There are so many more things in life to worry about than where someone sits in the dammed car. :(

I agree :) I was just wondering if ppl of ATOT here will:
- Move to the front without being tell (common courtesy/manner)
- Move to the front when being asked
- Will not move even though he/she is being asked

I always get up in the front seat, and all of my passengers have always gotten up in the front seat.

Just feels awkward otherwise.

If she was already buckled up in the backseat, why move? Unless you were going on a really long trip, that is.
Yep, that's what my concern would be. Why bother somebody to move at all?

"...told her I don't want to feel like her personal driver..."

What an ass. I really don't think they'll miss you at all...

:disgust: Read my post above you ignorant troll. If you are grewing up where I was, it's kind of like a cultural thing. I'm an ass because I felt uncomfortable with her action?
I asked her nicely to move to the front and explained that I'm uncomfortable with it. You are the ass if you refuse to move to the front and this is also after I treat her for a nice dinner.

Is this a Chinese thing? I've never heard of this.

That's because you like them in the trunk...with all your other bodies.

Where's the poll?????

- Move to the front when being asked

I'm sorry, but why do you need to ask people to move around in the car if they are already confortable.

- Will not move even though he/she is being asked

This is not really asking them now, now is it.

Click Edit on your first post...then "add poll" button under the text window...you should be able to figure it out from there.

You need to take the stick out of your ass. You got pissed because she didn't move to the front seat? What kind of bullsh!t is that?

Do you really think it's that big of a deal, to warrant getting pissed and forcing her to move to the front seat?

WTF?

And you call her rude????

All this "I don't want to feel like a taxi!" stuff is bullsh!t.

What is the difference between the front and back seats? About 3 feet.

Hate to break it to you, but you're a taxi either way.

Uhm, I'm not really angry right now. I was just a little pissed when it happened, and would continue to drive her home if she decided not to move. I'm just wondering if this is a cultural thing or she just have no manner.

I don't feel like I'm chauffering them, I just feel like they'd rather not sit up front, or they're avoiding conversation.

Stop being so antisocial jeez.

Three feet and the addition of head rotation to make eye contact. It's also easier to talk to someone when they're riding shotgun as opposed to in the backseat.

That's what I don't understand. How can this even be a "manners" thing? How is it bad manners?

Don't you think that the whole act of getting angry and forcing her to sit next to you was a little more uncomfortable than her sitting in the back seat could ever be?

Geez.. I mean, everyones different... but it's not that big of a deal. Certainly not worth saying anything about.

Eating food in your car would be considered rude and impolite, not sitting to the rear a couple of feet......

Resting your arms on the dinner table can be considered impolite... why? Nobody knows...
