Corsair has better advertising and so a better reputation. There's nothing wrong with the PQI memory you picked out. It will perform just as well as any other memory. I think you made a good choice in that area because it's a waste of money to buy expensive RAM.

If you're getting a silver case, make sure to get a silver DVD-RW-- NEC and Shutlle make some. Black plastic in fancy brushed aluminum looks plain silly; or get the black version of the Lian li case. (Silver floppy drive too, if you've got Sata HD).

Look into something besides a Smartpower. Fortron, Antec Truepower II, OCZ Modstream/Powerstream.

I like the 2G of RAM.

I also like your second choice of the antec case + psu for all around ease and quality.

The CDRoms i will probably get will be 3 black, 1 beige , and for floppys probably just 1 beige until I ever get around to getting another one..... i really dont see the point in needing 2 floppy drives.

Also, I have a question about the case I linked, the Thermaltake SViking. I really like this case, but sadly I cant tell where the drive bays are... I mean I know just from knowing but like.. Is that fancy design on the front of the case open-able (it looked like it from one of the pictures) where you open that to get to your case? or can you put CDs into bays through that? or am I just hallucinating 😛

Definately go with a X800XL or 6800GT for your video card. For an extra $50 it's worth it.

I'll think about the X800XT Arcturus, I wont be ordering the parts till late august or early september, so I'll wait for more reviews and a few dollars in price drop hehe

Btw I already had an X800XT selected, just not ASUS .
