Yea I think you should look for something newer. And get something you REALLY want, not just something to get you around.
I'll admit ... I wish I had waited longer to get a car I really wanted instead of gettin one at the time I did. I had to pay for my own car, and only had $3500 at the time. So I got a $3000 '89 Beterra. It was good, but I really wanted an eclipse at the time (the 95-98 looking model for eclipses). But those were like $3000 more. I was working at the time, and coulda had enough for an eclipse w/in like a year.
This was back in 97, and also at that time I loved the new Jetta's but they were way out of my $$ league for a new one. BUT I managed to convince my mom to get a new car, and she got a Jetta

About 2.5 years ago, I sold my Beretta and gave that $$$ to my mom, and took over her car payments as she got herself a new beetle. Luckily I am almost done paying the car off, like 3 payments left!!!
Now though, I REALLY REALLY like my car. I started putting some work into it this summer and added some aftermarket mods. Here are a
few vid caps of my car what it looks like now. That was from about a week ago, and now I have some different tail lights on it. But I really like putting mods into my car, making it my own personal car that is not like any other out there.
My suggestion is to get a car yoU REALLY want as your first, and if $$ isn't an issue, then I would get something other than that ferarri. But again, thats also my opinion
