Is there still a wait list for the GT-R?

I was walking by the Nissan dealership in Manhattan and they had it on the showroom floor. I thought they were quite hard to get.

No. You can buy them all day at sticker now. But sticker got bumped like 3 times past year or so it's like paying $12k over sticker compared early adopters.

2 at the local Nissan dealership at sticker. Both are that dark titanium color I believe.. can't remember.

At sticker or less.

Check Ebay - you will find dealers selling for MSRP or less. Tough economy means there are not that many buyers.

If you can prove the income, think any would let you test drive one?

And risk the transmission before it leaves the lot? Not likely.

I love corvettes as much as the next guy, and I in fact owned one, but get the fuck over it. A transmission on a single idiots ride blew out because he did something dumb. Go dump the clutch on your car over and over and see what happens. The new LC doesn't require VDC to be turned off and you're still in warranty.

I mean shit this is getting old. The fanboyism here is insane for people who never have and likely won't own some of the cars they argue about. I like to pick arguments with jules because his logic = fail sometimes, but that's purely for entertainment.

It's a damn impressive car, especially considering it's weight, size, and complexity. It's a different method of getting to point B as fast as possible, but equally as good at doing so at the end of the day.

Does anyone here have a car that will outrun a Z06 (ZR1), Viper (ACR), or GT-R on a real race track? I didn't think so.

It's not a love of Corvettes, it's a hatred for Nissan. In my experience, they make a shitty product, and then that the GT-R has picked up this stigma already, much to the chagrin of its fanboys, is absolutely hilarious to me.

Have you driven or owned a GT-R? Because I have driven some of the brands worshipped here.

In my experience Corvettes become a pain in the ass to take care of, not because big things break (power train is a rock) but because hundreds of little things do. Fucking flip up headlights on my C5 used plastic gears and tore themselves to shreds after long enough, the interior slowly fell apart, and the top would creak during high speed turns. I loved it for what it was though.

In my experience Ford's are shit too, my F150 gave me more problems in 5k miles of it's life than everyone of my other cars so far, but my mother's F150 King Ranch was perfect and never failed her a single moment.

Each car is going to have it's pros and cons, and some brands DO have more problems then others, but stop bitching about a single cars failure. I'll show you tons of fucked up Z06's on request.

No, GTR isn't my style. The car may be fast on a racetrack but it's still ugly. No matter how fast you are, you can't outrun ugly.

I am looking to buy different Japanese sports car. The pretty one. Currently negotiating with the owner atm.

To be honest, they're ok looking. I never have been the absolute biggest fan of those or the Supras. Yes I know, I'm crazy.

I'd add the NSX to the list of pretty cars. They were a bit $$$ and somewhat underpowered, but at the time of release, it was a pretty groundbreaking vehicle.

Stock they weren't that attractive.

Your previous comment null and voids any opinions you have on looks.

I just can't see what is attractive about them. It looks like someone designed the bottom of the car and said, oh shit, we have to fit people in it, and stuck a canopy on top. Then during aerodynamic testing they realized the rear end lifted so they put the ugly spoiler on it. Because it's mid-engined the butt looks really long for the car. It would have looked great if it had been cut off just behind the wheel wells instead.
