Do you know if ProFlowers will relay your order to FTD who in return relays it to Teleflora who then calls up 1-800 Flowers and the one guy who works there walks out the door and picks the flowers from a neighbor's patch? That's funny.

And while he's at it, he can try for some bulk beef online. :p

I ordered from Teleflora and they relayed my order to budazzlesflorals. I wish I had known. I could've ordered from them directly and gotten it $7 cheaper. I bought the Teleflora's Summertime Splash. In the pic it looks great. In real life one of the lilies looked damaged; the orange roses were pink; the green button spray chrysanthemums were missing; the vase was chipped. Something this small for $55, I expected much better. I'm totally disappointed. It just got a little bit darker in my part of the world.

Do you think the fact that I ordered on the day of delivery affected quality of service. I can understand if they didn't have the flowers in stock and substituted. I wonder if I had given them a few days if they would have ordered the missing flowers.

I actually perused ProFlowers the day before but couldn't make up my mind which flowers to get. So many pretty flowers.

Is this for real? Do you really not know that there are companies that deliver flowers?

DO NOT order from 1-800-flowers, online, or from any other all in one delivery service. When you order an arrangement, you're only getting about 60% of what you pay for. Call a local florist only. If they are a good florist, they will have the best offer, you'll get the most for your money, and you actually have someone you can hold accountable.

If your wife likes purple, you can just tell them you want something with purple, she likes [this] flower, and I can spend $xx.xx amount and they'll make something to your satisfaction. I really suggest that you go into a flower shop and take a little time to ensure you get what you want.

If you really don't want to go into a shop, just call one local.

People should read the original post carefully. I know flower delivery is available. I invented the internet for crying out loud. I was simply asking people which service they have tried and tested reliable and timely. That's all.

The picture is not what you'll get. The colours will be different from the picture, there is no question about it. Telefloral is very well known for being a piss ass company*. If you do order from a wire service, Make it FTD, most times the florists who are part of FTD are relatively good... but you still won't get what is pictured exactly.

erwin1978: You should have taken the flowers back to the florist who did the arrangement. If they are reputable at all, they would have made it right. Where are you located?

edit: I should have read this better =P

*Telefloral is well known to people who have a little "in" on the flower business

A chipped vase and dead flowers is not because you ordered late. It's because they thought they could get away with it since you ordered from a wire service.

You going to call a local florist?

I'm not gonna hear the end of this am I?

budazzlesflorals is a local florist. Do you think they'll send another one if I tell them the flowers looked amateurish?
