I read something in the manual about being careful with the magnets inside the phones? Does that mean it's bad to set them on my tower or something?
Well....I was thinking the other way around. Like by my mic, on top of tower, etc.Originally posted by: Kalvin00
I honestly don't think a pair of headphones will do damage to any of your devices.

I think that's very unlikely

LOL!
No headphone magnet will ever do jack to a hard drive. Have you seen the magnets that are INSIDE a hard drive that are used as a part of the actuator mechanism?
Nothing short of an electromagnet will hurt a hard drive.

Also unlikely. Field density is generally not sufficient for one permanent magnet to have any kind of lasting effect on another unless one of the magnets is very weak. While the magnets in the headphones are small, I would have a very hard time believing they are weak enough in terms of field density to be permanently affected.
Methinks the line in the manual is pure CYA (Cover Your A-something)

It also mentioned to keep them away from the magnetic strip on CCs.

I wouldnt rub them all over your CRT monitor, or lay them on a harddrive.
