That is exactly the case with the 6800GS. Nvidia need a card in this price-range of the market to compete with the X1300 or X1600 (I can't remember which), and since they already have the shader model 3.0 angle covered, they didn't really need to make a new variation on the G70 core just do fill this gap.Originally posted by: DrZoidberg
