No, as that would describe any USB drive be it:flash, CD, CD burners, IDE, MP3 based player, 7-1 readers, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Yeah, if you want to get technical about it. But usually a CD drive is still called a CD drive, regardless of what connection it uses, so I always use the term 'usb drive' to refer to the flash usb drive.
