Up against certain types of weapons there is a tactical way to counter the oncoming fire which involves changing your strategy while dodge, jump/double jump, countering while predicting or precisely aiming with your own tactical weapon.

A soldier in the field who spins around and draws his weapon when he hears a noise behind him also has a tactical reason to do so.

That does not make it a thoughtful strategy. It is still a trained reflex.

quakelive.com -- yes it's just q3a in a new package and some improved features, but it's still great.

what i would love is a re-do of wolfenstein: enemy terrority.. no game has yet to match the epicness of this one.

I'm gonna check that out when I get home from work.

I logged a stupid silly amount of hours playing Q3A back in the day. I loved that game.

I play Quake Live daily. Go to Quakecon to compete. Still many cash tourneys held all over the world for it. Part of a pretty good ctf team. Of course it doesnt have the players Q3 had in its hayday but its still very competitive and lots of the old good Q3 players play Q Live
