Lies, lies, and more lies.

All they are trying to do is stop people from voting.

Everyone needs to vote and show the republican filth their evil has no place in the Golden State.
which is odd because the only ones that would be discouraged would be their own voters

I doubt the polls are dishonest. However, I agree with the general idea of what you're saying. Even if the polls showed the recall trailing by 30, and were accurate such that I knew the recall would lose, I'd still vote. Because, like you said, we need to send a message that "republican filth has no place in the Golden State." The modern day GOP has no place in this state. Period. They can just fuck right off, forever.

I blame Coastal Liberals for their indifference and lack of understanding of rural Californians and their local interests. The Democrats need to become as famous for that concern as they are about the inner city poor while actually becoming effective for both.

Can you point to anything specific? How are rural Californians getting screwed here?

Just for once it would be nice if the awful opinions of Republicans were their own fault, instead of the fault of the Democrats for supposedly jedi mind tricking them into being awful.

Well yes, I agree. No one made them vote for a lying, corrupt, authoritarian sack of shit. They did that themselves, of their own volition. Just like they are trying to steal the state right now by supporting this recall.

I just can't figure if Moonbeam is saying "Coastal Liberals" are being mean to conservatives, or if he thinks conservatives are getting screwed by state policy. If he means the latter, I want an example. If he means the former, then he's just flat out wrong this time.

Concealed Carry Weapons permits. Rural county CCW is not valid in urban counties, where urban county CCW are valid everywhere. (there is a good reason for this)

In CA CCW permits are issued by the sheriff office. You send in a letter explaining why you want one, why your special, proof of training, etc, and then they send you the permit.

In rural areas sheriffs proclaimed they will be shall issue and provide a CCW to anyone who sends them a letter asking for one.

In urban areas it is a bit more difficult to get one, in that you have to show you are higher risk then normal people. The provided example is a business owner who carries a cash envelope to the bank to be cashed. The law as written was intended to work this way.

Upon realizing rural counties were going end run the law and be shall issue, they changed the law to its current form. Rural CCWs are no longer valid in urban counties.

Good info. Didn't actually know that. Also doubt that this had anything do with Moonbeam's comment.

Of course not. For some reason people think guns are banned in CA.

Lets try another one:
CA regulates water runoff from agriculture much more strictly then most states in the US. The largest impact is in the area of the Yosemite watershed. Specifically, CA strictly regulates contaminates from all sources including farms that might harm the fish in the watershed or the ability of the state to convert the watershed into clean drinking water.

For many years rural areas have indicated this level of regulation is burdensome and out of proportion to that required of by many nearby states. This is true.

It is also true I like clean drinking water. Screw the farmers.

Sure, but we also have relatively stringent air quality standards. Those affect mainly industry, which in turn is mostly located in cities and suburbs.

oh yea! I give you another one:

CA requires pork farmers to raise their pigs in enclosures that are large enough for the pigs to turn around in! How dare they! Unfair! None of the red states care if pigs have enough room to roll over in! This makes CA farmers less competitive!

( personal note: I feel this is a good law, and I am being a bit sarcastic above )

But they also effect consumer vehicles! CA is one of the few states that prevents its rural residents from rolling coal. How dare they try to reduce the cancer and lung disease rates of people down wind of pickup trucks driven by irresponsible people!

( personal note: I love this about CA, the relative lack of morons rolling coal is great )

One of the big problems with liberals is their arrogance.

Wrong, I am especially pissed off about California and it's wonderful gun laws. When the conservative decide to overthrow the government California's regulation of BB guns will help to pave the way. Liberals are morons with it comes to self defense. How will it be the government's job to protect us when it is overthrown. Oh yeah, I know. Not going to happen. Right! I have become all too familiar with California Gun laws because I am going to have to pass a test just to avoid paying 19 bucks every time I want to buy ammunition. The idiots in the California legislature have even created a growing market for ghost guns.

If being slightly less cruel to animals is arrogance, I certainly would not want to be a humble.
Wouldn’t imagining you are less cruel when you are not be arrogance?

Do you, say, buy humanly raised pork over the Arkansas kind spending the extra it will cost to keep California farmers in business, or pick up the tab of poor families who can’t’ afford to even buy meat? Are California supermarkets prevented from selling out of state pork.

I think before you claim to be less cruel you should at least insure you are making such claims on a level playing field.

I am leaning this way on gun laws myself. At this point the GQP has corrupted the 2nd amendment and brainwashed their cult of assholes that it will never be controlled, there are too many guns out there in the hands of what we see are proto-fascists. At this point I just think liberals should arm up, so if it comes time to shoot some fascists, at least we will have the tools to do so.

So California should not make any rules for animal welfare that may put business at a competitive disadvantage to states that could give two shits? Do you extend this line of thinking to environmental laws? After all if a business in a redneck state can pollute at will, it would be cheaper to operate there than in Cali, so are environmental laws that Cali enacts also terrible?

I didn’t say we can’t have humane laws or environmental regulation, only that the burden of those laws not fall on a segment of the population to which we remain indifferent.

Stupid CA garblefangers .....

CARB
Prop 65 notices on crap all over the US that may never enter CA's borders.
Border inspection stations
You can't cut a tree on you own property even if it's threatening to fall on your house without inspections and permits.

The first votes haven't even been counted and larry elder is already claiming voter fraud.

NBC News: As Newsom leads California recall polls, Larry Elder pushes baseless fraud claims.

Republicans of today, ESPECIALLY Trumpies, don't believe they can possibly lose an election unless there's voter fraud for their opponents...even when there is none, it still fires up the base who want to believe.
