Isn't the alcohol content of a Smirnoff Ice ~ to a good many beers?
I dunno that's why I'm asking. I know Smirnoff is 5% and Bud Light is 4.5%.
Anyway, I used to drink Smirnoff Ice, then Triple Black, then Sky Blue, now I'm on to K Hard Draft Cider at night = 7% AbV and Kahlua Mixed drinks in the morning/afternoon = 6.5% AbV (don't quote me on the Kahlua though).

The intent of your first post seems to be that it shouldn't matter if someone thinks what you're drinking is not masculine and that you should drink whatever you like.
So does this revolutionary concept of being your own person and doing what makes you happy/works best for you only apply to the alcohol you chose to consume? Either it doesn't and the concept applies to all manner of things (in which case my analogy was completely correct) or it only applies to things that you personally find acceptable. In which case you obviously aren't as grown up as you're trying to tell others to be.
Either way I don't see where you get off calling me a smartass considering the fact that you're either incorrect in your statement or you're a hypocrite.

It totally depends on the situation and what image you are trying to portray. Whether YOU like it or not, if there is beer available and you are sipping smirnoff ice, bicardi silver, zima, mike's hard, etc., you will look like a freakin pussy. All of us guys who are sitting around drinking beer talking about guy stuff will most likely make fun of you for drinking girly drinks. However if you go to a party where most of the guys are drinking these girly drinks then I guess you'll fit right in, and I'm sure that party pretty much sucks.
In short (not always but a majority of the good parties):
Beer = Manly, fun/party chicks drink
Smirnoff Ice/Mike's Hard = girly, and gay male drink

Smirnoff Ice and Triple Black is good, well the Canadian stuff anyway (7% w/ vodka) as opposed to the U.S. version (5% malt liquor)...but it's bad for you. An average beer has like half the calories.
Beer is still my fav though, but it's a very acquired taste. Few drink for the taste of it, most (i.e. college students) drink it cause its cheap, "manly", and everyone else is doing it.
But IMO Smirnoff is not a girly drink. I would drink it more often if it wasn't 50% sugar.

I've gotten blitzed on beer, liquor, malt liquor, wine, wine coolers, and the cooler-like drinks (Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Silver, etc); they all work the same. You laugh at me for drinking what I feel like and I'll laugh at you for being a superficial prick and call it even.
See, we can all make generalizations.

Alcohol is Alcohol...period. It is not gender specific. Miller Lite, Budweiser, Smirnoff, Jack Daniels, whatever. It's all alcohol.
Same goes for sodas. They aren't gender specific. Sprite, Coke, Mello Yellow, Dr. Pepper, etc.
Those are things that you really can't have much of an opinion on as to being girly or "gay." It's just a matter of personal preference. Now with a social convention such as fashion, there's more of a defined line of what's male and what's female.
There's a womens and mens section at the clothing store. There IS NOT a girly and manly drink aisle in the supermarket/ABC store/liquor store/etc.

First time I had alchol was when I was 18. A couple of glasses of vodka. Second time was 3 year later. A single bottle of Killians. Last time was 3 months ago, a mixed drink. I just don't have much of a taste for alchohol.

Ahh...I see. So by your standards I'm either a pussy or a homo? I'm secure enough in my masculinity that my testosterone level is not dictated by what alcoholic beverage I choose to consume. Obviously, you haven't reached that level of security yet.
