In the long run I find myself needing "." pretty rarely. If I am emailing and entering something like 12.10.8.6 I just do alt > shift which will show "NUM ^" in the corner. That makes the M a period. so 12 m 10 m 8 m 6 = 12.10.8.6

more rare than $ ?

Blackberry is pissing me off. I have the Storm, and it is the biggest POS phone I've ever had. It freezes on me, restarts, the touchscreen is horrible.....but my biggest issue with it is that nothing is compatible with it. Etrade blackberry app....not compatible with the storm. Yahoo fantasy football app, not compatible with the storm.

My old blackberry (8800) was great. I loved the trackball and the feel of actual keys.

My next phone will be an iphone. I think I'm done with blackberry.

So you base all your Blackberry purchase decisions off of owning the worst Blackberry?

Good luck with cell phones in the future, Brah.

i agree that the storm kinda sucks, but to be honest, the BB OS is getting long in the tooth.
it's very limited in what it can do, as it was strictly meant for email and security.
it's not very user friendly, app friendly, developer friendly, etc.

Fair enough.
I much prefer the Android and Web OS's myself. Assloads of free apps and plenty of cool shit right out of the box.

My mom has a new blackberry. It's broke twice. Those things are piles of crap to use too. She doesn't really like it and I can't stand it. (she owns a large business). I'm sorry but those things are massively over rated. Maybe they were good back in the day when there was no other alternative or anything to compare to.

My brother has an I-phone. Million times less secure and more hackable.

Fixed.

iPhones are not oficially supported by the IT department at my company because of their lack of enterprise level security features.

Now you just going in circular logic. In the extremely rare case that I need to use "." I either do the above note or do alt-m. And yes, I use the $ more often then the "." Nearly every other use for "." is covered by auto text. Mrs <space> Mr <space> Ms <space> adds the "." automatically, finished a sentence? Double space "." automatically. Need an IP? Alt caps: M becomes "." no need to alt it.

And they were supported at the last 2 companies I worked for. Maybe that's more of a problem with your companies IT department?

The iPhone does not fully support Microsoft Exchange security policies. Some companies require these more secure settings for devices on their network.

iPhone! I type so fast on it - used to have the curve but now the physical keys feel weird as hell
