The man is my idol! He participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona this season, at the age of 80!! Now he didn't race for 24 hours straight, but he did drive for a couple of hours!

He still has talent, if anyone saw his go-kart race wiht Jay, he was so smooth all the way through. Not only that, he seems like an all-around cool guy and quite witty at that age.

I wish I can still drive at his age.

I am.

When I was 16 and just got home from the hospital as a brand new quadriplegic, he personally called me one day. We chatted for about ten minutes, and wished me best of luck with my recovery. Very nice guy.

Apparently one of my classmates' father worked for him, and had mentioned me.

What are the chances for a full recovery?
Will you be able to ever walk again?

None.

No...even if a cure is found.

I pumped gas into Paul Newman's Bentley when I worked at Mobile about 8 years ago. He tried to tip me $5 but I didn't accept it. I didn't know who he was until my coworker told me... otherwise I would have asked for an authograph on that $5
