We have more strip clubs per capita than any other city(or was it per sq. mile, or something like that; either way we have a lot), so you're free to consider the whole city a red light district.:p

Yeah, you'll have to excuse Nik. He kinda sent the thread off on a tangent, lol.

City and State are totally different things. The City of Seattle is actually not that big and it does not mean that the surrounding suburbs can not give lap dances.

Oregon has been the one state in which Islamic radicals have attempted to set up terrorist training camps.

EDIT: This thread is way too P&N.

Huh? are you implying that you are like those people who buy Linksys, and when the Linksys fails, the entire company (cisco) is a big wet sack?

Either way conservatives are going to be upset at this ruling. Either you upset states rights conservatives by overruling the law, or social conservatives by upholding it.

sarcasm. They will attempte to set up their camps where ever they can. They got COUGHT in Oregon. It's like saying: An alcoholic got cought drinking in Oregon, there for, the alcoholic did/do not drink in other states.
This is the Off Topic section right?

"The Justice Department blocked efforts by its prosecutors in Seattle in 2002 to bring criminal charges against Haroon Aswat, according to federal law-enforcement officials who were involved in the case.

British authorities suspect Aswat of taking part in the July 7 London bombings, which killed 56 and prompted an intense worldwide manhunt for him.

But long before he surfaced as a suspect there, federal prosecutors in Seattle wanted to seek a grand-jury indictment for his involvement in a failed attempt to set up a terrorist-training camp in Bly, Ore., in late 1999. In early 2000, Aswat lived for a couple of months in central Seattle at the Dar-us-Salaam mosque.

A federal indictment of Aswat in 2002 would have resulted in an arrest warrant and his possible detention in Britain for extradition to the United States.

"It was really frustrating," said a former Justice Department official involved in the case. "Guys like that, you just want to sweep them up off the street."

No sh!t sherlock... I was citing Seattle strictly as an example of a ridiculously liberal city that has begun to tighten the reins. Oregon (pick a city in the northwest) isn't exactly very far geographically, now, is it?

OMG, again, to compare a city and state in this case is just moronic.

Huh? Let me ask you this: Have you been to Holland?
Also, why would you care what jeremy clarkson, motoring journalis have to say?

"In October 1998 a letter of complaint was made to the BBC by Hyundai cars in response to what they described as "bigoted and racist" comments Clarkson made at the Motor Show in Birmingham. Clarkson had quipped that the people working on the Hyundai stand had eaten a dog and that the designer of the Hyundai XG had probably had a spaniel for his lunch. Clarkson also allegedly referred to those working on the BMW stand as 'Nazis'. [1]"
