Sorry, I'm trying to find a credible statement in your post but nothing registers.

How did a topic on liberal Oregon laws and courts turn into Nik's Mexican Pinata Bash Fest?

Could it be that Nik might be just a wee bit biased about illegals? Maybe ;)

FWIW, I've lived in Oregon since '88 and I've never had a negative experience with a person because they were Mexican. And I can tell you that Oregon's major problems (financial or otherwise) are decidedly not because of illegals in the state. While that statement might not hold true for Nick's town or neighborhood, I would rather take a look at the bigger picture.

The bigger picture is made up of a bunch of smaller ones and my smaller picture is a fvcking hole in the canvas. ;)

I've lived here since June the 29th of 1981 so NYAH :D :p

Well....

In all honesty... while its true that most Mexicans are normal human beings, I know exactly what he's talking about.

It makes me want to scream... "CONTROL YOUR FSCKING HERD OF CHILDREN!"

They are immigrants, and like immigrants from every other country in the world, they bring their old habits with them into a new society.

The good thing is that these habits quickly disappear with the first or second generation of domestic born children. So while their parents might have the Mexican big-family mentality, their children will likely fall closer to the overall US average for children per family.

Right, to some degree. They do bring their old habits with them. Their diseased infested habbits that don't die! They teach their children to be just like them (natural parenting) and the children grow up to be just like them. They don't, say, LEARN and actually DO control their herd of brats after a while, they just keep pumping them out and refusing to teach them anything other than to be self centered assholes who will stop at nothing to do whatever their cro-magnon-man instincts tell them that they want to do next!

I don't have any problem with the fact that they're Mexican, if anyone intends on pulling that ignorant card. I have a huge problem with the fact that every time you see some pregnant three-feet-tall-four-feet-wide woman waddling through the supermarket, and she's got five little two-feet-tall snots buzzing around her like beez throwing sh|t off the shelves and ripping boxes open, I'll bet you dollars to the doughnuts in those little snots' hands that she's illegal, her kids are born here, she doesn't have a job, her husband (if she's married) picks fruit half the year, and nobody in the family pays taxes. Further more, they'll use up medical and social money from the state government like their's no tomorrow (because nobody in the state or local government has the balls to stand up save for being called a racist for putting a stop to this nonsense).

You heard about the young teen girl that some guy tried to kidnap recently, right? He tried pulling her into his car and she managed to get away and go to the cops. The cops found him. He's an illegal. Guess what? He's an ILLEGAL ALIEN and he's got a state-issued driver's license! Goddamnit I have to show my previous, expired license AND my social security card AND another form of picture ID to prove who I am but this fvcksteak gets a driver's license --how'd he get two forms of picture ID and a social security card? Oh wait, he didn't. HOW DOES HE HAVE A LICENSE?! He's fvcking illegal! Deport his ass!

That's just how the state government allows it to be, unfortunately.

LOL!!!!!

I'm sorry, but QFT.

It may be stereotypical, but that's because it's TRUE!

My girlfriend was CONSTANTLY bitching about having to clean up her store after a herd of Mexican children would come in.

It is a genuine problem.

Anyone who says otherwise, Eli, is just like the cynical politicians who just want to ignore the issue instead of fix it.

I think the problem is... how do they fix it without stepping on peoples feet and rights?....

I don't think Oregon is the only state that has this problem though, so..... I dunno. While it is a problem, it's also a tough one to solve.

To be fair, I have also met quite a few very nice Mexican families.... but it does seem that those you speak of ruin it for them and the rest of us.

As long as human rights aren't being violated, I see no social or otherwise legal right that an illegal alien has to quarter in my country. Get the fvck out. Don't want to go? Fine. We'll MAKE you go, and we won't let you back!

I, too, have met some great Mexican families. However, just like stupid customers that buy Linksys products their entire lives and the moment one piece of Linksys hardware fails, the entire company is a sack of sh|t. It just leaves a really nasty taste in your mouth, ya know?

Ok, looks like Bill, the Republican, think that Oregon should not allow to do this. What is wrong with him? He is acting like an authoritarian.

oh see now there's an actual topic instead of just a confused smiley face for the OP. :p

Yeah, I don't really care either way about "death with dignity." If somebody wants to die with dignity before turning into a veggie or whatever, that's fine. That's their choice. I can respect that. Got nothin against doctor assisted suicide. :)

I am from Oregon and although I might don't agree with the liberals over there as I am a strong REP but I do support the list that the OP posted. It's within the state's rights. :)

Hey guys, anybody in Portland? I'm getting my RN license this spring and thinking about moving to Portland OR. Many of my friends visited Oregon and they really liked it.
How is life in Oregon or Portland in particular?

Thank you...

Depends on where you go. Honestly, there's such a huge spread of diversity that you will no doubt find parts of Portland to be heaven and others to be hell. Portland is amazingly diverse. You just gotta know what you like so you know where to go :)

What can you expect? Oregon has become trash... but it was going that way for a long time.

I mean, Seattle is a liberal city, but look at the laws they've recently passed. No lap dances...

I have no problems with anyone who comes to this country legally. In face, I embrace them. But you have to understand illegals eat up OUR resouces. And are by far more of a burden then they are beneficial.

The same way they get into any other state.

Walk, drive, crawl, swim, horseback.. etc.
