The IAEA has almost less international cred that the USA or Israel. They could have debunked the myths that GWB was selling regarding Iraqi WMD and instead choose not to.
As it is Iran is working within IAEA guidelines, when Israel is the greater danger and built their nuclear program on the sneak.
As for Iran ever becoming any nuclear weapons power, that decision lies at least 3 years into the future as Iran has almost all of its Uranium enrichment at only the 3%
level. Almost enough to power nuclear reactors to generate electrical energy, but well short of the 25% level to build a breeder reactor to refine any plutonium out of spent fuel rods. And light years from the 95% or so U235 enrichment level needed to build just one conventional A bomb.
But I have every confidence in the IAEA to produce experts equally as credible as Screw ball, Curve ball, and the esteemed Dr. Chalibi.
As for the Nebor assertion that my head would explode if Israel engaged in mass civilian collective punishment defined as a a war crime in Gaza or Lebanon, yet again, don't expect the larger world to ignore it this time, as all world economies would fall into to a economic depression as world oil prices would almost instantly exceed $1000/dollars a barrel and stay there for a very long time. As the long terms vision of Ossama Bin Laden would energize terrorists of every religion to tear down the existing world order.
Wars always look good on paper, but the devils are always in the details. I am fairly old and I will soon likely die of old age, so I reserve most of my pity on the young, who will live blighted lives if they even survive the stupidity.
