hi,
I've gone through three motherboards in quick succession and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice.
I've got an intel P4 3.2 Ghz cpu.
I've briefly tested all of the other hardware components to be sure that they are working.
Originally I had an intel box d945pvslkr. The computer system was running fine for about six weeks, until the motherboard died. When I say died, I mean that the computer would NOT turn on, and when I would try to turn it on, the fans would begin to spin for a split second and then everything would be still with no activity.
I replaced the motherboard a few days ago with an Asus P5N32. The system worked for about two days, and then the same problem occurred. When I would go to turn on the computer, the system would not turn on and the fans would begin to spin for a second -the computer would go still with no activity.
I replaced the Asus today with another Asus (the same board) and the system does not work. Instantly, I am experiencing the same problem. The computer does not turn on. The fans begin to spin. This third motherboard introduces something new though. The cpu's heatsink fan does not begin to spin at all (I know that in the last Asus mobo, the heatsink fan would spin for a split second with all of the other fans).
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my system. Why is it ruining every motherboard that I put into it?
