Just sayin', and I didn't attempt any athletic endeavors with either. If I had, I'd expect the performances to have suffered, not been enhanced in terms of verifiable metrics (e.g. a stop watch). So, "performance enhancing"? I'd say NO! Experience enhancing? Well, that's a different matter.

Now, to the other subject: Can these substances screw you up? Well, of course they can. Can they enhance your life? Certainly. YMMV, folks. It's a sick and mostly stupid metaphor, sorry.
