"performance enhancing", hardly. Probably the opposite.
MJ laws are stupid.
It's also stupid to toke up before the biggest race of your life knowing the stupid rules and laws exist. So in this case there's plenty of stupid to go around.
As far as someone being a criminal--I'd hazard a guess that far, far more people around each of us have imbibed or do imbibe than most people realize. For someone who thinks it's only for criminals---they just won't let on to you, because you are an uptight moron of the type that brought us alcohol prohibition a century ago. And just like those times, it not only doesn't work, it rewards the true criminals (who bring it in illegally) and punishes the working class and poor (which of course is part of the goal, see also reefer madness.) Ah and don't forget the private prison industry, they LOVE drug laws.
Companies that drug test can piss up a rope too. I'm looking for a job, but because I already have one I can be more picky. I haven't smoked in almost 30 years but I object to the principle of the thing, and don't apply anywhere that drug tests. It's the sign of a shitty corporate culture. Punish people for their words and actions AT WORK, not for what they do at home.
