Btw Muslims make up 5% of Calgary's population yet they reelected a Muslim mayor for a second term. He must have ran against Hitler.

A: yes, it's safe.
it can be annoying, wet, trafficked, smelly, dirty, crowded, and you can rather easily get punched in da faec, but it's relatively safe. Also the brits tend to not annoy foreigners as much as other countries do, they reserve their misery for the locals.

There's a feeling I get in Europe, it must be the architecture, because I get a similar feeling in old Boston. Having grown up where no building was more than fifty years old probably has something to do with it. It's almost like everything has more substance there and was built with classical aesthetics. Here everything seems built for efficiency and profit and is much more predictable.

nope, i made it! i decided to take my chances and so far it has been awesome. so much history, and the weather has been gorgeous to boot!
except that they apparently don't give you washrags (eh, "flannels") in hotels. hope they don't mind that i used a small towel as a rag.
