I will never understand why the gun grabbers want to go after legal owners when they are committing less than 1% of all crimes involving guns. Or how limiting magazine capacity is some how going to make a dent in the 17,000 murders every year.

it was never about the guns.

it has always been about the politic. about politician getting into office and getting re-elected again and again.

if there is a group of people (voters) with a strong conviction (rather that conviction is real or make belief). Politian can take that conviction to the ballot in and win.

never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

-----

understanding how you revolve around the world is knowledge, thinking the world revolve around you is stupid (even for a king).

Yep. Lie your ass off that these gun laws are going to do any real good at all and that is enough to make people think you really care about them and Bingo, job security for the next 4 years.

While we are sitting here debating people who falsely and naively believe that "MAOR LAWS KEEP US SAFE!!!" the FBI has raided an apartment in SF and pulled what they believe is a large amount of homemade ricin from an apartment.

"SUBJECT OF FBI RAID IN SF MAY HAVE HAD RICIN STASH"

Authorities believe the amount of ricin they found is on a scale larger than ever seen before in San Francisco, although they still need to test it to be sure. Hazmat crews are only able to enter a location limited number of times, so they worked late into the night with plans to resume testing, confinement, and collection on Sunday morning.

http://abc7news.com/news/fbi-raids-apartment-in-sfs-russian-hill-neighborhood/87278/

Laws can only do so much to combat crazy and determined people. While laws are necessary to set boundaries they at some point fail and only end up impacting people who actually decide to follow said laws more so then those who choose to ignore laws in society. Worse of all is when we allow the fear and irrational behaviors of others to effect us so that people are lining up to give up their Constitutional rights and that is not a win for a society but a loss for everyone.

Actually the mother bought the guns for him, which in CA she would have to report, which would have made her ineligible to buy them.

You shouldn't be allowed to buy guns and give them to insane people either.

Good work researching your post!

Nancy Lanza purchased and maintained ownership of all the firearms in her home. She planned to buy Adam his first gun (a CZ 83) as a Christmas present the year of the murders, so she wrote a check to him for the purchase price. If she were willing to purchase guns on his behalf, she certainly would have done so for the CZ 83 gift.

In fact, Connecticut law only allows those 21 and older to own pistols, so Nancy Lanza would have already violated the law if she had purchased all of her firearms for Adam. 20-year-olds can legally only temporarily possess handguns while at a firing range under the supervision of the owner.

wrong again?? if guns was the culprit and guns did all the killing? then why is prison not full of guns, instead it is full of criminals (people).

if you dogs gonna bark. at least try to bark up the right tree.

your issue is with criminals, not guns.

try not to confuse the two.
Considering your grammar and punctuation skills, you are going to have a hard time convincing many of anything, IMHO.

A letter to the editor of the Hartford Courant by Donald K. Martin on March 19th.

"Yesterday I placed my shotgun on the front porch, gave it six shells, and noticing it had no legs, placed it in a wheelchair to help it get around. I left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the boy across the street picked up my yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near my house.

After 10 hours, I checked on the shotgun. It was still sitting in the wheelchair. It had not rolled outside and It had not killed anyone in spite of many opportunities that had been presented. It had not even loaded itself.

Can you imagine how surprised I was with all the hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people? Either the media is wrong and the killing is by people misusing guns or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.

So now I’m off to check on my spoons, because I hear they make people fat."

You seriously can't be this stupid.

As already mentioned, some things in this world present a greater danger to your fellow citizens than other things. Cars are quite dangerous in the hands of someone that doesn't know how to use one or is otherwise impaired. Thus, we regulate who can operate cars. Guns are quite dangerous in the hands of an impaired individual, thus we regulate who can own and use them. This is public policy 101.

By your logic, where only the individual matters and his ability to cause mass murder is not taken into consideration there should literally be no limit to an individual's capacity to cause mass death. If I make a nuclear bomb in my basement, nobody should be able to regulate that because the bomb doesn't kill anyone. It only becomes an issue when I push the button.

I hope that clearly illustrates how inane the point you were trying to make is.

You realize how totally meaningless that point is, right? I doubt even you sincerely believe that nonsense.

looking for stupid - look in the mirror instead.

back to the discussion. control your fellow citizen (the main culprit). not the gun, nor the car, nor the spoon, nor the nuclear.

get your reality straight.

Are you still on the "guns don't kill people, people kill people" bit of stupid?

please, please, please, please, please

http://www.tampabay.com/news/public...akeland-gun-range-shoots-three-people/1041591

Moments before, Sherri Thourot had watched her husband fire and reload the Jennings 9mm. Then he set it down for her to shoot next at the range.

That's when the handgun started firing on its own, she said, spinning around in circles, landing the Thourots and an Irish tourist in the hospital.

There. Now you can drop the whole stupid argument. Unless of course them surviving is a bad thing.

And, as has been pointed out by several people, it's a MEANINGLESS fact.

And, in case you're still having problems understanding that:

meaningless: having no meaning; especially : lacking any significance.

I'm looking at stupid right here with you.

The argument you're trying to make might have sounded good in your head and maybe even to a group of high school kids. That's about the extent of it.

It is very telling that instead of addressing all the people who are telling you about all the logical holes in what you are saying you just keep repeating yourself. It seems like reality might be too much for you to bear.

The shooting victim's father is a fuckin douchebag. Too bad it wasn't the father that was killed instead of the kid.
Dude, expecting a parent to be rational and logical about their murdered child is a bridge too far. It's nigh impossible.

What the "Constitution says" is what the SCOTUS says it says. The next time there's a 5-4 majority of liberals, he SCOTUS might decide the Second Amendment "says" something different from what what the current SCOTUS says it says.
Be careful what you wish for. If we have no Second Amendment rights, then we have only such other rights as those in power choose to allow. Tiananmen Square demonstrated that rather conclusively.

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

I think this sums it up.

Again when the media keeps airing his views and printing his letters who is really the whore here? Think for a second. If they couldn't get a knee-jerk and overly emotional reaction out of people using guys like "joe the Plumber" they wouldn't bother with the guy or his views period.
