Canada with an economy less than 9.1% of the US's; is donating ~50% the US. (taking into account private and public donations)
The US feels the need to play a dominent role in foreign policy.
Yet when it comes to a real disaster, the US is minimally there.
I guess the US does not feel the need to prove to the world it isn't a war monger.
When 9/11 happened, the rest of the world was there in afganistan.
Now the world is hit with a disaster...how do you think you should react.
I think this is a great opportunity for redemption
