My brother says to buy DDR533 for the new comp i'm getting, and i'm saying its a waste of money. However, he says if i don't get DDR533, Prescott will not work on my motherboard (Abit IC7-G). What do you guys think?

Overclocking as far as possible means you want memory to be as fast as possible too. Get the fastest memory that you can buy. Keeping a 1:1 ratio with the FSB:Memory speed is important. Synchronization = better performance.
Not really. Easier? Maybe. Faster? No. More expensive? Yes.If you OC, the easiest/fastest combo is DDR533.
