Yep, as soon as you OC, there's a permanent etching that appears on the CPU for everybody thereafter that handles the CPU to recognize it as a CPU that has been OCed before.

Theres no way they can tell if you've overclocked unless you fry your chip, as there are burn marks. Its damn near impossible to fry a P4 and there are tempurature protections on all modern motherboards so the chance of frying a AMD chip are slim also.
