I told my girlfriend I would take her to work and we left the house a few minutes late. About half way to her work I went through an intersection that has one of those red-light camera's that give you tickets for either speeding or running a red light.
I think I was caught by the camera (Normally the camera flashes a bright light to illuminate the car, but it was 9:30 AM so I don't know if it didn't flash because because it didn't catch me, or if it just didn't flash because it was already pretty bright outside).
I was going 43 mph in a 37 (70 kmh in a 60).
Now given that it's my fault for going the speed I did without being told to do it, is it unreasonable for me to ask my girlfriend to pay half since I was only going that speed to get her to work on time? Or should I just suck it up and tell her that I don't care what the situation is from now on, I won't speed for any reason just to get her somewhere on time?
