"If Romney can capture Florida, Virginia, and Ohio—the three swing states he's most likely to win—he will come within four votes of the magic number. At that point, he would need any one of the other swing states: New Hampshire and Iowa are the most likely, both near 55 percent for Obama. While Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan, hails from Wisconsin, the polls there have consistently favored Obama by about 4 percentage points. Data from the past 10 elections has demonstrated again and again that vice-presidential home state bumps are negligible."

Time will tell, but seems to me that choosing Ryan was a short-term tactical move (?) by Romney campaign to stop massive bleeding in national polls, and try and ride bump from VP pick and RNC convention to try and create some sort of superficial semblance of competitiveness in electoral college.

Predicts Obama most likely to get ~ 330 electoral votes, several scenarios where he gets more. Basically, he'll win with (very roughly) the same amount he did in 2008 except with several million less in the popular vote. So 6M-7M edge instead of 10M maybe, depends entirely on voter turnout. Nate Silver has been quite accurate in past elections; he got all states but one (Indiana) right in the 08 election.

No, I think our overlords have decided to pummel us with their right fist for a while. If you're talking about actual vote counts, then yes Obama will "win" but the doctored vote counts won't actually show this.

Dunno about Landslide but yeah it's looking more like the Republicans picked a terrible guy to run as president.

Romney has the charisma of a skunk and charisma or lack of is one of the first things a voter notes. Of course add to this I doubt many people really think he's going to advocate more for them than Obama has.

Just a terrible selection, GOP, you really screwed this one up.

OP: this clearly indicates Obama will win. Dave has never been correct with a prediction. :p :D

What are you smoking?

It shows Republican 270 Democrat 268

It's up to Ryan's home state of Wisconsin.

That state has turned Red with Walker, Ryan and Koch brothers.
