If you're 99.4% done, why haven't you done those last four yet? YOU'RE SLACKING!! stop taking breaks for a life and SCAN HARDER. Master your ass. and so on.

I can only hope you're going to ebay all of those? Shipping/Handling should be in the hundreds no problem. hehe.

I won't get rid of the mags until I finish making the pdf's & database index

Could be another couple years.

Do you seriously want to download a pdf of over SIX HUNDRED AQUARIUM magazines?

My brother-in-law has a whole aquarium room in his basement. 3 walls lined with aquariums with a row down the middle. He breeds them, raises them etc. Used to have his own business supplying companies with fish products and doing their tank cleanings and things like that.

I thought it'd be fun to give him a huge thing like this... Not like I care if I waste some bandwidth...

So how are you planning on organizing them? one PDF file for every issue of every magazine? You could go through and turn the Table of Contents into links right to the articles but damn, that woudl take forever.

And with Adobe, you can do a search and have it search every PDF in a certain folder so as long as they were in the same place searching them wouldn't be too bad on its own.

And what's the total disk space you're taking up with all this anyway?

you should contact the publisher and tell them you have a digital backup of their magazine from the last 100 years.

Actually that's a good idea. You might make a tidy profit.
