the father knows how I teach his kid. I even spank his son in front of him, if he got really naughty. I do think my brother-in-law teaching is a failure, because he can't get he kids scare of him. the kids won't listen even he yells at them.

Isla: I think the protective part is right. their fighting problem actually solved after my niece learned how to strike back to my nephew. when my sister pretend to spank my niece, my nephew would protect her. But he still think he is right to beat my niece and do that sometimes.

haha, I remeber having to do this growing up. Looking back on it, it seems so barbaric and abusive. I could never imagine using a switch on my own son!
