me & a old friend drank about 80% of a 1.75L of captain morgan over about 2-3 hrs once.

I've killed 3/4 of a fifth of rum in about 45 mins before. Probably the most alcohol I've consumed in a short amount of time, and also probably completely unnecessary/stupid because after a certain point drunk is drunk.

I drank about 40 oz of 100 proof Smirnoff within about 15 seconds. For one, it BURNS intensely. I ended up throwing up all over inside the University at Buffalo. I was so wasted I went out to my car to sit and it took me like 20 minutes to find it, despite the fact that it was parked pretty close. I tried as well as I could to stay awake to sober up, but I ended up passing out within like 4 hours of consuming it all.

When I was young and stupid I "invented" a catch-up drink that I'd have if I was late to a party. I'd take a pint glass, fill it 7/8 of the way up with rum, top it off with coke, then chug it and then suck on a 2L of coke to kill the taste. I'd be fine for about 5 minutes, then almost instantly messed up. I guess that's half a 26er, so I could see doing a full one, but you'd be really quite seriously messed up after it.
A friend of mine and I also used to have a big dinner then pre-drink before going to the campus bar. We'd split a 40 oz bottle of rum in an hour and that'd do us for most of the night. This isn't bragging as I'm not exactly proud of it, but it does offer some reference.

Its complete bullshit.
I drank 750ml of vodka in slightly less than 2 hours. Needless to say the next day I found myself on my bathroom floor with puke all over.
I dont remember anything after the first two hours...

I downed half a fith of Canadian Club in one pull from the bottle. So downing a fifth of vodka, sure - death may be imminent from that much alcohol in the system but definitely doable.

Its next to impossible for one person to keep an entire fifth down if its drunk in a short amount of time.
I saw my friend do this with a 750 of jameson.
He was incoherent within an hour, puking in the shower within 1.5 hours.

Hmmm .... worst I ever done myself. I took a liter bottle of Maker's Mark (90 proof), was about 2 drinks short of being full so it's more than a .75 liter bottle but not full. Downed the thing in around 3 hours. That is I think the last time I actually threw up from drinking. According to the BAC calculator I would have had a BAC of around .31 at my body weight from that. I'm not even sure that holds the record for me, but it certainly might be. And technically I didn't throw up from drinking, when I realized just how much I'd had I went into the bathroom and stuck my finger down my throat. So I probably had a slightly lower BAC.
