I don't know why people whine so much about Dell. I had to call them this weekend about an Laptop with a bad backlight on the LCD. I did have to wait on hold for half an hour but once I got a guy and told him what was wrong he set up a service call and someone is coming out later this week.
No hassles, no language issues (yes he was obviously in India or somewhere).
I'd recommend Dell to anyone I know but always recommend they get a longer warranty especially for laptops...
