How is the EVO/Incedible/Droid X/Galaxy worse than the iPhone 4?

They certainly trade blows with the phone, and the EVO is 4G ready out of the box. Apple will sell you another phone for that too when AT&T gets a competent LTE network in 2016 or they jump ship to Verizon.

Has nowhere near the same options for compatibility with third party hardware on the market. :| Not as widespread adoption of android OS.

It's also Sprint. Sprint. Let me repeat that. Sprint. Remember the Palm Pre? (supposed iphone killer) Oh yeah, that was on Sprint... Sprint. <--- Did you not catch that? Let me say it one last time: Sprint.

What's wrong with Sprint? Their network is great and we get to roam on Verizon's network too. Plan prices are fair as well compared to AT&T and Verizon.

Oh and at least Sprint spends some of their money on extending and upgrading their networks.

Rim got its toe in the door back when its on ly competitor was the sh*tty microsoft phones and such. Now their position is far less secure.

The latest numbers have RIM at 41.7% US market share vs. 24.4 for Apple. Apple will have to make some really large gains before RIM's position is in doubt.

Not as widespread adoption of android OS.
As of the latest numbers above, Android was .2% behind Microsoft for 3rd place in market share. When the next set of numbers comes out, it's almost guaranteed to be ahead of MS.

You are calling an open platform less "compatible" than a closed one? Really?

You mean the same sprint that has the only operating 4G network in the country? The same one that is ranked higher than AT&T for customer satisfaction, the same one that has less dropped calls? You also forgot to comment on the other three phones i listed that are available on other carriers.

Show me where AT&T is dominating the charts? http://www.jdpower.com/Telecom/ratings/wireless-call-quality-ratings-(volume-1)

Just because people have tons of fucking phones that run some version of Android does not mean that it has widespread adoption. When I say widespread adoption, I mean there are standards and there are tons of people who adopt to the android platform readily as such they do with the iPhone. I don't want to go into the android app store or whatever the fuck it is and be like, "oh yeaaahh.. this application looks and sounds awesome!!! AWW WTF I CAN'T RUN IT ON MY PHONE BECAUSE I AM NOT THIS ONE PHONE IT WAS PROGRAMMED FOR? WTF>!_<!!XFGE(5430854308"

Apple has android raped on that. It has some anal standards.

Uh, yeah I am. It doesn't have the hardware compatibility. Did you not read that? Probably not. You probably have too big of a hard-on for the stupid android OS and Google to see past it.

No. Nothing would make Apple fanboys give up on their spiritual leader (the Great Fruity One).

Even if iphone 5 was created to bite off the side of their head the first time they held it up to their ear, all SJ would have to do is say, "It's an app....a MAGICAL app!" and they would all oooh and ahhhh, and think it was the greatest thing since sex was discovered, while their brain fell out of the surviving half of their head. Not that that would matter.

I wont buy an iphone, ipad, ipod or iwhatever because of the fact the battery isn't easily replacable. I like to have that option if I want to have multiple batteries or to upgrade it.

The problem is simple. The 4th generation iPhone wasn't submitted for proper carrier testing. You can have the brightest engineers and scientists but if you fail to provide a pre-release unit for testing on a carrier's network how smart are you?

Yes, I do work for the carrier, but that's another story.

It's very easy to explain, and it fits into two words: Microsoft Exchange. The majority of corporate uses it, and RIM made it a priority from day 0 to seamlessly integrate email with Exchange. Their software passes most anal certifications, and it does e-mail push extremely well (barring RIM's server farms going down, which seems to happen every now and then).

I used to work for a competitor of RIM about 5 years ago, and we had our own Exchange add-on which could be installed onto corporate servers. We, in fact, did a much better job than Blackberry in pushing e-mail, but we lost in the end, because we did not manufacture devices ourselves, bur rather used Palm Treo.

Apple's phones, on the other hand, are consumer-oriented. Guess who wins in the end? Consumer stuff always wins.

You just proved my point: was it a good decision on RIM's part to integrate their email with Exchange? Yes. Was it a good decision by Apple to release a defective product? No. More importantly, does telling customers to "not hold it like that" in order to get around a serious design flaw make one look like a stuck-up tool? Hell yes. Does it make one look like a total douchebag comparing a defective product to one that works perfectly in a desperate attempt to explain away the flaw? Yes.

You get my drift. BTW, RIM still going strong long after Apple has come onto the scene.

Sprint is better than Verizon.

I have 5 lines, 3 on AT&T, 1 on Verizon and 1 on Sprint. I now pay for two of them as most eventually migrated to family members. One iPhone 3GS and one iPhone 3G.

I use my Sprint Blackberry phone for work and my Droid is my personal phone.

So far in my experience of carrying two phones around, Sprint > Verizon in coverage around MA area.

I somehow imagine a Penny-Arcade comic strip when I read this.

I watched the iPhone little apple event that Steve Jobs did.

This really does sound like people are over-bitching because Android phones are not as good. >_>

Free bumper, refund for bumper if you bought one, free bumper with all new iPhone 4s, and yay?

Stupid ignorant post is stupid.

Nearly anyone who owns an iPhone for a considerable amount of time and tries to go to an Android device is like "WTF is this shit?"

There's just a general lack of polish on Android where the iPhone is "the complete package." With Android you get a shoddy UI, worse apps and games than the iPhone, no complete music strategy (iTunes Music Store), in fact a terrible media interface, hodgepodge software (EVO's answer to Facetime sucks, for instance), etc.
