Hola, I don't really know much about overclocking but I ordered a 256MB stick of PC133 Crucial RAM last week so I thought I'd see if my current RAM would be able to handle 133 MHz as well. My current RAM is a 128MB stick of Kingston ValueRAM with (I believe) NEC chips (I haven't opened the case in a while, and I forgot what brand the chips were),
Anyways, I have an ABiT KT7 with a non-overclocked Duron and I went into the BIOS and changed the DRAM clock from HCLK to HCLK+PCICLK, which upped the memory bus to 133MHz. I don't seem to be having any problems (yet 🙂) running at that speed with this RAM. Is this normal? How would I know if the RAM couldn't handle it? Would the system just not POST or boot into Windows?
TIA for your help.
